  1. I like this trade and I hope it means we are considering starting 3 American OL. It's too bad that we put 5 years into Greaves and then he's gone for a second round pick but what can you do? Gotta make a move if it's not working out anymore.
  2. Sure, and that's what I'm hoping for. The team needs him to step up in a big way. Chevy is putting a lot of pressure on the young guys to carry more of the load.
  3. I would say you expect 55-65 from a number one center.... Not really elite, depending on your definition of the term, I suppose.
  4. Really good stuff. Certainly I considered Randy Savage for my top 5 stars of all time. New Day is definitely entertaining in and out of the ring right now, I think Big E in particular is doing a great job. I love the inclusion of Kurt Angle on your list. One of the great all-time heels in my opinion. I've never been a Ric Flair fan personally, I never got the hype. But no doubt he is one of the biggest stars.
  5. I'm expecting 55-65 points from Scheifele this year, maybe 25-35 from Lowry. Lowry is the more physical player of course but Scheifele has a higher skill level and is also stronger defensively. Scheifele just needs to get a little tougher but for now he is a tier above Lowry, for sure.
  6. Bombers just signed OL Cam Jefferson to the practice roster. Spent time with the Bears this year as a UDFA. Played left guard most of his college career which was split between UNLV and Arkansas (both Div 1 FBS). Could maybe help out the interior of our OL which is desperately needed.
  7. Interesting, good stuff from both of you. TUP, I'm going to lay down some categories for you and my votes for the top 5. Biggest star of all time (guys that the fans are specifically coming out to see): 1. Hulk Hogan 2. The Rock 3. Andre The Giant 4. Stone Cold 5. The Undertaker Most entertaining (not necessarily technically best wrestler) in the ring right now: 1. Dean Ambrose 2. Seth Rollins 3. John Cena 4. Kevin Owens 5. Cesaro Most likely next champion: 1. Sting 2. Sheamus 3. John Cena 4. Brock Lesnar 5. Roman Reigns
  8. We cheer and forget our problems for one week.
  9. Exactly. 17 to 85 seems to have this erroneous reasoning that by keeping a Berry or Mack with the organization for a sufficient period of time it will bear fruit in the form of long-term success. In reality, patience will not be rewarded by tolerating mediocrity year after year - it will just result in more mediocrity. Every team in the league won't tolerate losing for very long (proven if you take the time to review each team's history) - they will fire the personnel responsible for the team's underachievement and move on to new coaching/management.The Bombers have been mediocre for so long because they have hired inexperienced/inept coaches and management the past decade plus. It has nothing to do with not showing adequate patience for the inept coaching/personnel. Which, I'd argue, we had no choice but to do because no qualified/experienced coach/manager wants to come here because we are a coaching graveyard that fires people constantly and shows zero patience...No kidding and how people still don't get this is crazy really. So how did Hamilton get Austin? Look at the Ticats hiring and firing record over the past 10-15 years and it's no better than the Bombers'. Money talks. Identify the right guy and move heaven and earth to get him here.
  10. Isn't that kind of the way it always goes?
  11. I'm thinking DB-type. Maybe Washington or a practice roster guy like Kearney. Maybe even Lin-J Shell, as he has played the spot before.
  12. Here's the weird thing about Hajrullahu as a punter. He is awesome at the coffin corner punts, so why would he suddenly become unable to aim his punts properly when he is further out from the opposing endzone? That doesn't make sense to me. Maybe that's a failure of the coaches because he clearly has the ability to punt directionally in some situations.
  13. That's what I saw... CFL capgeek is a total joke. People need to stop citing it. It is not even close to accurate.
  14. I think we'll be seeing an Eastern team crossover for the first time.
  15. Hurl can backup Muamba for the rest of the year then be released. Or we could start two Canadian linebackers and 3 or 4 Americans on the OL.
  16. What hope do we have? Nichols has thrown the most picks in the league (including 5 in his last 3 games as an Esk) playing in an offense he was familiar with. And we think he's going to come in and save our offense now? He'll go downfield more than Brohm, sure. But who knows whose hands the ball is going to end up in,
  17. I like that.EDIT: that was apparently a typo. Derrell Johnson was scratched, not Bruce. Ah OK that makes sense.
  18. Bastien and Bruce Johnson are the scratches today according to Bombers twitter...?
  19. Don't you mean spreading doom and broom?
  20. You keep saying Top 5 like it means something. So who are the top 5 in your opinion?
  21. I think Sheamus makes a decent heel, I like some of the stuff he's been doing lately. But like you guys I was surprised to see him win MITB. I think that this will be a rare "failed" cash-in when he eventually cashes in the briefcase.
  22. Don't be so negative. We could still pick 10th.
  23. Never put your faith in a guy named Tyler.
  24. "Friends" is a relative term. If two people know each other, that doesn't automatically make them friends. And if it does, you'd be hard-pressed to find many working relationships in the CFL that didn't start that way, with someone hiring someone else that they are familiar with. O'Shea was a senior at Guelph when Walters came in as a rookie, and they were on opposite sides of the ball (Walters was an RB at the time). They played a grand total of one season together in Hamilton.
