  1. Sask has the edge at QB tho, in my opinion, and that will be the difference.
  2. For what, 62 yards? That's Justin Goltz bad. His numbers looked just like Justin Goltz's actually
  3. Good candidates but far from being "can't miss" hires. Both would be first time head coaches and how many times have we seen great coordinators become awful head coaches??
  4. Yikes so you wouldn't be happy with anyone but whom? Hufnagel, Milanovich, Austin or Chris Jones? Sorry but we're not getting those guys.
  5. Best case scenario we go 3-4 in the next 7 games then Willy comes back for the last 2 and we go 2-0, to finish 8-10. Even that seems like a pipe dream, though.
  6. Come on that was good stuff. Schultz: I'd pick this guy, Ivan Drago!! Panel: Uhh Schultzy don't you mean Dolph Lundgren??? Schultz: No!! Ivan Drago!!! Did you see how badly he beat Apollo Creed?? Panel: He killed him Schultzy!! Now that's good comedy!
  7. I generally don't use savings accounts as I believe the interest isn't a good enough return. I prefer to go with a bit of a higher risk, higher reward method. Options trading is where its at if you've got the mind for it.
  8. And now his ass is out the door.
  9. Would you say that Kuale last year was held accountable for all of his selfish undisciplined penalties? How should I know? I'm not in the locker room. However you've made it clear that you believe the only way to hold a player accountable is to bash them in the media, sit them, or cut them. I disagree.
  10. Wrong to whom? The fans? We can criticize all we want and have our reasons for doing so, but we aren't in any position to say his roster moves are wrong, or right.I don't think I know more about football than MOS but evaluation of performance isn't as hard as you make it out to be. He deserves to be questioned. Question O'Shea all you want. Evaluation of players doesn't start and stop with just what you've seen on TV and at the games. There's a lot you don't see, unless you're at every practice and in the meetings. I hate that rationale. It's apparent that O'Shea is stubborn, sticks with players far too long and has terrible roster management. There's a significant difference you need to learn when it comes to throwing players under the bus in the media and holding players accountable for their actions and play. Is cutting or sitting a player the only way to hold them accountable?

  12. Sean Whyte. I don't get this move... I don't think it's good when an International is used as a kicker. Seems to be easier to pull off with 4 designated imports. I'm sure teams are pleased with Swayze Waters, Boris Bede and Richie Leone. The kicking game is so important, would you rather use a 4th DI on a kicker or a backup WR that sees 10 snaps per game? Hmmm...
  13. Same goes for Waggoner, thought he would have worked his way into the lineup by now if he is the stud everyone hoped for. Waggoner has dressed every game this year... he just hasn't taken any defensive reps (that I can recall) Yah, that's what I mean. He seems to be on par with Newman and Sherman in terms of mostly playing S.T. Muamba didn't even take defensive reps in his first year until the final game of the season, not sure it's realistic to expect that much out of Waggoner.
  14. Mulcair has promised a federal 15 dollar minimum wage. Am I crazy or does that seem like an awful idea????
  15. He's all we got. What about Corey Lewis? Why even bother keeping him around if he can't start in a situation like this?
  16. Didn't Neufeld break his thumb like 2 weeks ago? Is he going to be ok at right tackle?
  17. Calgary doesn't seem to let 'personal conduct' get in the way of talent at the draft... D'Aguilar, Smith, Durant - these are top talents that fell to Calgary because of 'issues'... Huff is confident enough in his culture to draft these guys They have a pretty clear strategy - if there's a standout talent, trade up to go after him, other take BPA and gamble on BPA/NFL type in the third round or third pick I can't explain Ameet Pall of course, ha. Mack, I think, tried this strategy but just couldn't quite succeed D'Aguilar is nothing special. Not sure who smith is and Durant has done nothing so far. Should probably use better examples cuz really those are 3 special teams guys right now and that's about it. Their first picks for the last three years are Craighead, Lavertu, Lavoie - all those guys would be starting for the bombers right now Craighead and Lavoie are big time injury concerns and Lavertu went first overall so I can't hold that one against the Bombers.
  18. Controlling Collaros is no easy task though. There is also Brandon Banks on ST to worry about and a ferocious defence. But I get what you're saying. Their run-game is non-existent.
  19. Can he punt?
  20. No there's 8. Kohlert, 4 OL, Bucknor, Westerman, Hurl.
  21. I don't have the numbers to back this up but I think you have to look at the effect of a sack in stopping drives whereas hurries and hits can still result in a positive result for a particular play. It seems to me that the loss of a down (you only get two tries really) and the usual loss of yardage is far more important. Also holding penalties are not near as bad as sacks so they can't be given equal weight. At least in a holding penalty situation the team has a chance to recover from the setback unlike a sack situation where you just might lose the QB altogether as well as down and distance. I have seen that happen a few times. But to summarize this is just musings without statistical backing. Babble on. If I may, I'm not sure he's trying to say hurries and hits have the same effect on the game as sacks. I think he's trying to say that they are a better measure of how well the OL is protecting, because they take the actions of the QB out of the equation for the most part, and the sample size is much larger.
  22. Suber played special teams his whole career here. I don't recall Markett having any notable impact. Unamba was a great special teams player but couldn't play defence and as an American you have to do both. That's why I'm hoping Simmons can come in and make an impact on special teams right away.
  23. It totally sucks!!!
  24. Lol! You're joking about the NFL I hope!!
