  1. Yeah it seems odd to me as well but it is right in the release I linked to in the OP. Could be a typo or they could both be broadcasting it, I suppose.
  2. Actually it sounds like the games will be on TSN1290, not CJOB... So.... ? Broadcasting the games on TSN1290 means Bob Irving would not be doing the commentary.

  4. http://www.cfl.ca/article/tsn-announces-pre-season-broadcast-schedule Only 3 games on TV, none for the Bombers: Friday, June 12 – B.C. @ Calgary at 9:30 p.m. ET on TSN2 Saturday, June 13 – Saskatchewan @ Edmonton at 10 p.m. ET on TSN1 and TSN3 Thursday, June 18 – Toronto @ Montréal at 7:30 p.m. ET on TSN2 I guess it's understandable they can only show 3 games, they only have five channels to fill with programming.
  5. I just realized its less than 2 weeks til the Bomber's first pre-season game. Woah!
  6. http://bluebombers.com/video/index/id/110173 Scrums with Willy, Chungh, Richards, and Westerman
  7. He had a great career in the Big Ten then apparently was the best DB at mini camp. That's about all I know.
  8. Well keep in mind that @BlueBomberTalk started out life as @FireJoeMack . You're going to get a lot of over-the-top reaction but maybe not so much substance.
  9. Every year they line up guys for a look in multiple positions. Last year Newman took reps in the middle, weak and safety. Now's the time of year to do it. Oh thank god you chimed in, I thought it was the final depth chart.
  10. Really surprised to see Randle at SAM. I don't hate it, if that's what they want to do, it will get him more involved in the action. But he's a damn good corner.
  11. File a police report for assault. Already done!!!!
  12. Wow Sam Hurl at MLB, I got slapped around pretty good for suggesting that's where he would line up.
  13. Buck Pierce in 2011, 2012 it was BP/Elliot/Brink, 2013 it didn't matter as he only played one game. Hell, we had four different QBs take snaps during the regular season in 2011 .. wasn't any better in 2012 .. consistency at QB has not been our strong suit for awhile .. heh. In 2011 Buck started all but 2 games that season and most of the games he started he finished. He played only 12 games from start to finish. There were plenty of reps for other QBs that season.
  14. Sign everybody!!!!
  15. If you can't move past the infamy of the "first rounder" tag, then sure, I could see how one might think a potential 3rd string NI receiver (potential 4th if they sign Richards) could be considered a coach killer. Actually, I still can't, but I'm trying to play along. Your emotional investment in the player seems much higher than OShea's would be. If Poblah doesn't perform he's gone. No one is keeping him around anymore just because of his draft situation. I don't know how draft position comes into this at all. I never mentioned that once. As far as emotional investment in Poblah? I don't even know what you're talking about. You clearly misunderstood my point but feel free to continue being a total ****. Mondays, eh? You and several others seem to have attached negative emotions to Poblah. Why? My guess is because he was supposed to be all that and a bag of peanuts as we used a first rounder on him. Turns out he wasn't. I have zero emotions attached to Poblah. Either he's better than Bastien, Reaves (who's really just competing with a minimal standard to prove he deserves a PR spot to develop) and Millington, or he is not. Your point wasn't much of one. He's not getting Kohlert's job based on a couple of good practises, and he'd have to have a whale of a camp to knock JFG a spot down the totem. Behind those two guys we have depth that consists of 0 catches for 0 yards as career totals in the CFL. As a Bomber fan, I'd prefer to have at least one guy with experience challenge the 0 for 0 crew. Fantuz isn't currently available. I'd prefer him. If Addison Richards is signed in the next few days, Poblah's potential value to this club decreases, yet may still be higher than Bastien, Reaves and Millington's. And if we're rostering 4 NI receivers, that's all it needs to be. Yes, it is very asterixy of me to note the lack of depth that Bombers have for NI receivers. Must be Monday. Or a quick glance at the roster. One of the two. I already commented on the lack of receiver depth so don't pat yourself on the back too hard. I realize we are short on experienced receivers. But I don't believe Poblah is the answer and know what? I bet Kyle Walters agrees with me. So you can jump up and down all you want, at the end of the day Poblah is not coming back here so you might as well give it up now.

  17. Or maybe Poblah wins the job in camp because he's an incredible practice player, but then bombs out at the critical moment in the game... The kind of catches that JFG was making last year. Poblah seems like he is one of those coach killer types. Huge potential, fantastic reviews from practice every day, but blows it when it counts. I'm not thrilled with our receiver depth right now but I would still take a pass on Poblah.
  18. http://www.cfl.ca/roster/show/id/4781 Good linebacker, played for the Argos 2012-2013
  19. First overall can bring back a massive return. The 2012 first overall pick should have been traded for good roster players.
  20. Tolerance as long as we all agree and don't debate right? It is not the debate that is the issue, it is the vitriol and sanctimoniousness that too often creeps into the debate. Once people start speaking for God, we're into the cesspool. Thanks for proving my point. some people still think homosexuality is wrong, based on their religious beliefs. Welcome to planet earth. You can't kill debate just because you don't agree with someone's opinion. the great thing about our society is debate is still allowed......sort of. Lol. Some people still think black people are lesser humans than white people. Some people think women are second-class compared to men.Just because a certain part of the public holds an opinion, doesn't mean "tolerance" is required -- especially if that opinion specifically includes hate and intolerance.Yes, all those people absolutely have the right to think and believe what they do, but that doesn't mean debate is the best choice in all cases. As for Michael Sam, I assume the Als have done their homework and worked him out, especially if they're offering him $125k per year right off the hop. If that's not the case, then they're setting a terrible precedent. Best of luck to him and them, though! If anyone holds a diff belief then you ..... tolerance is required at all times. Tolerance to someone can not ever be debated because its their right and freedom to do so. You may choose to disagree but you can never say they are wrong. you can never say you are right. The day you choose to say your right and everyone that dont agree is wrong is the day you become no better then ISIS. Actually you're wrong. Tolerance of hate is never required. If someone is spreading hate, they can be imprisoned. And rightfully so.
  21. That contract seems out of line for an unproven import. It looks like the Als are playing the publicity card for all it's worth. That's what I thought. I wonder if his teammates will harbour resentment that they're having to work towards that size of a contract and he gets it without proving anything. Lots of Americans enter the league with big contracts, we just don't hear about it. Somewhere along the line, some fans decided all Americans enter the CFL on minimum contracts but it's just not true. Sam's contract is pretty similar to the one we gave Chad Simpson a few years ago. If a team really likes an American and he doesn't want to come north, what do you think happens? The offer goes up. That's what happened here. Don't worry, he didn't get a big bonus for being gay, you can relax.
  22. 6'5" 310?? Can he play offensive tackle too? What a tank!
  23. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the addition of International defensive lineman Kheeston Randall. Randall (6-5, 310, Texas, May 7, 1990, in Beaumont, Texas) was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL Draft, playing in 12 games in 2012, and recording eight tackles. He also spent time with Minnesota and Cincinnati. Randall played four seasons at Texas. During his career, he started 35 of 47 games, recording 98 tackles and four sacks. http://www.bluebombers.com/article/bombers-add-dl-kheeston-randall
  24. I don't think we need him. He may land in Toronto.
