Walters has said they want to run 2 import RB's this year in a "thunder and lightning" approach. He even used the term "thunder and lightning." I'd be surprised if Cotton isn't one of them. It looks like Cotton will compete with Bradley Randle and CJ Anderson for one role, and Da'Rel Scott and Cam Marshall will compete for the other one.

Penton wouldn't just make up a story. Gimme a break. The trade talks might not be serious but if Penton is reporting it, it's because he actually heard something.

How is the value of an NI OL between a first and second round pick? We just saw one get traded for a first AND a third.

Greaves also seems to like Winnipeg. He has re-signed here once already. He is durable. He won't be going to the NFL. He is just entering his prime. Chungh may have NFL aspirations. Picard is approaching the end of his career. Neufeld's health is a huge question mark. Goossen still has to prove he can be a starter and who knows if he will want to return to BC when his contract is up. No, the more I think about this, the more I dislike it. I hope it doesn't happen unless some team is ready to wildly overpay. A first and third round pick, like Bomben got, would not be nearly enough. We would need a proven Canadian starter coming back the other way, and more.

I'd be surprised if Greaves actually gets moved. We've finally got some depth on the OL. The price would have to be high, similar to the Bomben deal. In fact I would want even more for Greaves... I'm not sure anyone would be willing to pay it right now. I could understand the rationale from a pure numbers standpoint. Between Greaves, Picard, Neufeld, Goossen, and Chungh, there are 5 guys competing for 4 spots on the opening day roster. No one wants to see Chungh or Goossen get scratched. But with Neufeld's health I would prefer to let that sort itself out.

Sure I'd love to have Tarasenko here as well. There are plenty of really talented young RFA's out there though. Huberdeau, Galchenyuk, Kuznetsov, Brock Nelson, Braden Holtby. I'd love to have any of those guys. As for UFA's I would look for a forward with some experience. I'm thinking Joel Ward, Justin Williams, or Brad Richards. Yeah they are all guys in their mid-30s but they can all still play and would help balance out some of the young guys who might be coming up to the big club next year.

RFA is a pipe dream. Tarasenko, Huberdeau? Lol those teams aren't letting those guys walk. Really soft free agent market this year. All I want is for us to re-sign Stafford and maybe Frolik and Stempniak if the price is right. Continue to build from within.

Richards might be "raw" but he caught over 100 balls over the last two seasons after spending a couple years as a backup receiver in Regina. Anyone comparing him to Jade Etienne (who caught about 30 passes in 2 years after being converted from a kicker) is way out of their element. I think we're all going to like Addison Richards. Just give it a little time. He won't be like Jade, we will see him on the field this season, probably starting at some point.

And we already have 3 FBs listed on the Roster so yes I am puzzled by the Morgan and Lattanzio selections... Only one of Cronk and Fitzgerald will make it. It doesn't look like we will roster a Canadian RB so we might roster 3 FBs instead. Pontbriand, Normand, and Cronk/Fitzgerald. Lattanzio goes to the PR or back to school. He is a 5th round pick, I wouldn't expect anything out of him this year.

Not a bad trade for either side, I'd say. The Als' Canadian talent is already so deep. This is why they could stay competitive even without a QB. They just keep reloading the cupboard.

I'm pretty sure he started every game at guard for the Als last year. He will start in Hamilton.

Mack actually had 4 first round picks in his 4 drafts here... 5 if you count Poblah. 0 in 2010 because of Mike Kelly, 2 in 2011, 1 in 2012 (2 with Poblah), 1 in 2013. It's just too bad he didn't have a damn clue what to do with them.

We had Goossen on the bench and were playing 3 import OL which meant Sherman had to start on D. Goossen should have been in the whole time because the American guards weren't even good anyways. Would have been much better off playing Sears and Goossen than American dud and Sherman. With all due respect to Sherman because he did the best he could but starting at SAM probably wasn't ideal.
