  1. My heart was pounding and he is cool as ice. Amazing.
  2. Mulumba Today: "LOCKS: Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers, Mike Neal, Nick Perry, Andy Mulumba" - Jake Dowling, predicting the GB roster of outside linebackers. He writes: "Should Matthews and/or Peppers run into injuries of their own, the Packers need both Perry and Neal (and possibly even Andy Mulumba) to step up. If any of the three have issues with injuries too, this could turn out to be an ugly situation for the Packers -- yet again. With Matthews in and out of the lineup last season, the Packers could not rely on Perry and Neal on a weekly basis because both were dealing with injuries of their own. Despite Neal playing all 16 games, he was not always effective. Thus, the Packers had to lean on Mulumba, a rookie from the Republic of the Congo. Mulumba had a crash course in 2013, finishing with 30 tackles and one sack. However, the most infamous moment for Mulumba from last year was his ill-fated attempt to chase down San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick on a hobbled ankle on a third-and-long play in the NFC Wild Card game." https://www.football.com/en-us/packers-positional-breakdown-the-outside-linebackers/ July 27: With Nick Perry and Mike Neal out, OLB Nate Palmer has worked alongside Andy Mulumba with the No. 2 defense ahead ofCarl Bradford, Adrian Hubbard and Jayrone Elliott. - http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/training-camp-report-sunday-at-a-glance-b99318940z1-268830021.html July 26: Holdovers Andy Mulumba and Nate Palmer combined for 543 snaps as rookies. Mulumba had the more impressive off-season and is bigger. "Mulumba's a strong kid," an NFC scout said. "Lacked rush moves. Palmer's really raw and not real strong. Has a little athletic ability." - http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/age-injuries-may-add-up-b99316575z1-268750761.html Bilukidi Bilukidi was placed on the injury list initially, but has now come back on the roster and is participating in camp. July 28: When the full pads finally came on Sunday, it was a joyous day for 11-year defensive end Robert Geathers. After missing the majority of last year with an elbow injury, Geathers is making some noise early in camp while he tries to hold off Dontay Moch and Christo Bilukidi for what likely comes down to the fifth and final DE spot. - http://www.cincyjungle.com/2014/7/28/5944227/robert-geathers-bengals-odds-dontay-moch Muamba July 30: A few other players stood out on Wednesday in getting a chance to make an impression due to injuries .... Inside linebacker Josh McNary was again held out of practice and that opened the door for Henoc Muamba. The Canadian Football League free agent signee won several one-on-one battles in blocking drills. Muamba also made a few plays during 11-on-11 drills July 27: Henoc Muamba had a red zone pass defensed, while recovering a fumble down deep forced by Josh Gordy off Josh Lenz . Lenz quickly atoned with spectacular footwork on a TD snare. - http://www.colts.com/news/article-1/Colts-Camp-Notebook-July-27/edd88d5e-6cd7-4898-9600-30b3b5143c65 On Monday, June 23, the Indianapolis Colts partnered with Special Olympics Indiana to host a PLAY 60 youth football camp at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center. Over 125 Special Olympics athletes participated in various fitness stations with Indiana High School Athletic Association students and Indianapolis Colts players. Colts OL DANIEL ADONGO, RB VICK BALLARD, TULRICK JOHN and LB HENOC MUAMBA all participated in the camp. Each player ran a football related drill, interacted with the Special Olympics athletes and posed for pictures.
  3. OMG the Trivago guy in your avatar. As if we don't see him enough
  4. Edit due to confusion
  5. There is no such thing as an easy win in the CFL. Sure there is. We used to be the free spot on the Bingo card. You think Hamilton right now is as bad as we were last year?
  6. Ainsworth would start? Based on what? T. Player has lost his job in BC already, no way he is on the same level as Neufeld. Ainsworth would be rotating, same as Louie Richardson. Player lost his job when Valli came back I believe... We'll just agree to disagree - I don't think Neufeld is a great guard - I think there would be more value in playing Goossen there right now. I don't think Neufeld is a great guard either but Valli is one of the worst in the league and Player lost his job to him. If Goossen was ready to play he would have been starting in Greaves' spot. Basically what you're saying is that you would have rather kept the pick and had a worse OL this year, and I can't agree.

  8. No, but they should be getting at lest 30 000 at the games, which they are not. Based on what? Where does the number 30,000 come from? Seems rather arbitrary.
  9. It was a 2nd round draft pick, and given where the Bombers finished the season it was an early 2nd rounder... Here's the problem I still have with the trade: Walters had all the leverage in that trade. Riders wanted Hall, one of if not the best DE in the league for their playoff push, they were likely to lose Neufeld at least to the expansion draft anyway. Walters jumped the gun and paid too much. Hall and an actual late pick would have been one thing, but Hall and a high 2nd? That's an overpayment for a player the Riders were just trying to get some return on. I felt the same way at the time of the trade, but now I look at it like we got a starting OL for a second round pick... which we probably wouldn't have been able to do if we had kept the pick. We also got a fourth-rounder back in the trade. but you can't ignore Hall in the trade, he was a star player, the fact that he's not in the league now is irrelevant, he helped the Riders to win a Grey Cup, he was a huge part of the trade. Walters seems to me to pay whatever the cost to get his player which can be good or bad. At least he knows what he wants, but you can't always be paying sticker price in trades. Sticker price is sucker price. The thing is, nobody gives up starting OL. It took the first overall pick to pry Jon Gott out of Calgary... he is a good OL but definitely not the best in the league or anything. I believe that you are undervaluing Neufeld at this point. But he wasn't a starter in Saskatchewan and with the expansion draft coming up they were going to lose him anyway. It was them trading a depth player, and yes he was a depth player for them,in order to bolster their defensive line for a playoff run. No way should Walters have been adding a 2nd round pick. 4th round pick now we're talking, but not a 2nd. The only reason Neufeld lost his starting job was to injury. When they thought he was healthy, he was right back in the starting lineup. It turned out his injury was worse than they thought so he went back on the injured reserve. But he was a starting OL before he got hurt and he is a starting OL now. Trying to twist it as anything else is inaccurate. Alex Hall had zero value to us, so losing him is nothing. I believe if the trade was straight up a second round pick for Neufeld, we would be looking at it as a steal. It's more about improving the team as a whole than saying "Hall should be worth X, so we didn't get enough back for him." The end result is we gained a starting OL and didn't lose a whole lot, so it is a good trade.

  12. I don't think you've ever seen him play. That is the only explanation I can come up with for your comments, because he is obviously a very talented receiver. Anyone can see that.
  13. I don't know why you always have to get personal in every debate on here. Really strange behavior. I make comments on Chevy and instead of refuting them you have to turn to mocking me. Real nice. I believe I will just avoid this forum from now on. It is clear that differing opinions are not welcome. You guys can have your 3 posts in each thread where you all agree that the Jets and Chevy are infallible, shake hands, and close the topic down. I thought we were looking for discussion here but it turns out I was wrong.
  14. Totally agree. Hamilton is not that bad. Especially with some injured players coming back. The question is whether LeFevour can keep up the pace from the last game or if he comes crashing back to Earth in his second game like so many other QB's have in the past.
  15. For sure. He played a bit of halfback here in 2010, I think, and he wasn't very good at it... but that's 4 years ago. I'm not sure how he has been doing in Hamilton so far.
  16. So we are supposed to wait until we draft our own Jonathon Toews, Patrick Kane, and Duncan Keith?? Sorry but we're not getting those guys while drafting in the 8-13 spots. I like Scheifele and Trouba but they are not the same caliber of player as Toews and Keith, not by a long shot. This idea that you don't add free agents until you are on the cusp of a Stanley Cup is just plain ridiculous. You try to improve every year. We don't have anyone in St Johns ready to come up and contribute so what would it hurt to add a quality older player on a short term deal? Such as a Derek Roy or Brad Richards. Who are we waiting on? It's going to be a couple more years til we start seeing real results from the Draft so why not sign a couple players in the meantime?? Make the team a little more competitive and maybe give them a taste of the playoffs so when the young guys are finally ready, they aren't stepping onto a team in he midst of a ten year playoff drought.
  17. I don't know why they are sticking with a national at safety with Butler out. They may be regretting this halfway through the game against the Bombers.
  18. Wouldn't say Josh Gordon is in dire need of help. However I would say that he has been screwed over by the NFL's absurd drug testing policies.
  19. We'd be the best team in the league if we did. Don't even get me started on the Josh Gordon situation. What an absolute joke.
  20. Blackmon got thrust into a terrible situation in Jacksonville, and unfortunately has made things harder on himself. But he's got lots of NFL life left, IMO.
  21. And you still think Chevy is doing a good job?? Wow. 3 years on the job and hasn't given us a team that is even close to the playoffs. Wonderful.. Don't worry, I already know the response. "It would have been impossible for Chevy to turn this team around in 3 years." What an absolute loser mentality. Anyways, you are totally missing the point. A couple free agents would make this team better. Its not about winning in the playoffs or not, it's simply about making the team better. What argument do you have against making the team better by signing a couple players? What about names those couple players. Players still available or players who were available that Chevy missed out on? The first list is unfortunately small because it is late in free agency, but the latter list is huge. Legwand, Roy, Richards, Winnik, Cammaleri, Vanek, Kulemin, Grabovski, Raymond, Vrbata, Hemski.... you trying to tell me none of these players could help the Jets??? Get real.
