  1. Oh God don't be so naive.
  2. This was tweeted out by Herb Zurkowsky, saying there will be a follow up story posted soon, for anyone wondering about the source.
  3. Quinn Smith has tested positive for steroids, more specifically Stanozolol. If you have dabbled in steroids at all, you likely know it as Winstrol or "Winnies". There is no getting around this one as saying it was in a supplement... it is a very well known anabolic steroid. Really bad news for Quinn Smith.
  4. Did Wally retire? Tough to see him making a deal like that....
  5. Yeah but you're a self-righteous ******. Be that as it may.........I'm still right. I'm not sure what you're right about, but you are of course entitled to your opinion. Unfortunately for you, the pro-pot crowd is winning the battle. Weed will be legal as soon as the conservatives inevitably get knocked out of power. You will be surrounded by slow-moving, indifferent stoners before you know it.
  6. Yeah but you're a self-righteous ******.
  7. Ya sure, it would be all well and good if they didn't do it to twelve other guys, and if Etch didn't have the track record that he has. If the scouting department, Management and HC all like the guy, wouldn't you think... Gee maybe I'm wrong about him, maybe he deserves a shot in TC? I sure would... So one guy allegedly gets cut based on Etcheverry's opinion and suddenly it is Etcheverry behind every cut they've made this off-season? Come on. This is obviously part of the new strategy for these guys. They want to bring in the best players and they're not going to be afraid to use mini-camp to judge guys and get the best possible 75 on the roster. They do it all the time in the NFL and all they've got is a three-day mini-camp to work with as well. They even cut guys after the offseason OTA's and those are even less strenuous than the mini-camp, mostly just strength and conditioning.
  8. That would be interesting... can't see it happening, but you never know. We would need to draft a pretty good linebacker to back him up considering we don't really have anyone that can play that role right now.
  9. Well considering the number of pro athletes who smoke weed regularly, I'd say he was doing just fine acting like a pro athlete.
  10. Yeah you guys are right. Coaches should never tell management they don't like one of the prospects that was brought in. They should just keep quiet and plug in the players given to them. Voicing your opinion is always a bad thing, sticking to it is even worse.
  11. Such a joke. I'm surprised the cops even did anything with such a small amount of weed. Usually in Canada that gets you a warning at most. Seriously how ridiculous is it that a guy's career could be impacted by something so trivial, something that is legal in some places and will eventually be legal here as well. Even though he was a Rider, I still have sympathy for him and hope it doesn't affect his NFL shot.
  12. What's with Minnesota? Someone knock this team out already.
  13. Eating organic is of course your choice. But you should feed only organic food to your kids. Frankly if you don't feed your child organic food then I won't even let my children talk to them. And you are an irresponsible parent.
  14. Penton also mentioned the Bombers are looking for an experienced guy. I suppose Kuale would fit that description.
  15. Yay lets rehash old players!! Maybe Maurice Lloyd will return to action
  16. Must be something in the pipeline. We don't have any MLB candidates even on the roster at this point. Maybe Kenny Tate... but to me he isn't an MLB type. No, I think there is a move coming.
  17. He actually did look good in TC last year until he re injured his foot. Not when I was watching. He was pretty brutal. Couldn't catch at all.
  18. Meh. Tough to hold that one against the Bombers. He has a long injury history and didn't look good at all in training camp last season. It will suck if he becomes a good player but one good mini camp doesn't mean a hell of a lot.
  19. as far as i know, they don't have then east of Manitoba... watching an Als/Cats game when the in-game winner is from Red Deer for the 200th time is maddening. Don't worry Safeway won't exist soon enough
  20. Dan West played special teams... sorry I forgot to notice. At worst, we've already upgraded with Graig Newman. Ya good point who cares about special teams.
  21. Dead weight? When did Dan West become dead weight? We need guys like him. Our special teams took a huge hit this off-season losing Muamba, Labbe, and James Green. West is going to have to take on a big role on special teams this season.
  22. Which ones do you suggest? Who is out there? We have the most connected CIS guy in the league... they can find a couple more guys. I mean I suggest Brett Carter and Anthony Coombs but its not up to me. I just want more than three guys competing for two backup spots... especially when one of our starters gets injured almost every year. We are a little thin at NI receiver but I fully expect we will draft at least one. Probably with one of our third rounders or our fourth rounder. But I have no idea what that has to do with signing an import receiver. We can do both.
  23. Very interesting comments unknown poster. I am a very casual WWE fan and had no idea what the WWE network was at first. The only reason I know now is because my friend got it and explained to me what it is.
  24. Pennywise on Monday
  25. So a fifth rounder who doesn't become a starter but is a special teams stud, is a bad draft pick?
