Has Ottawa done anything today? Made a single move? Guaranteed that it wasn't their intention to sit idle today. They have no experienced receivers. They have no experienced starting linebackers or defensive backs, outside of Eric Fraser at safety. For all the talk of how great Ottawa did in the expansion draft, they still have some huge holes to fill and the best players are getting snapped up pretty quickly. You don't win with 4 rookies in your secondary in the CFL. Period. Maybe they have a shot at Watkins and I'm sure they can land Jovon if they really want him, but yikes. It's not looking good for them, IMO.

Agreed.... I'm wondering that too. I've seen Kowalczuk try to shotgun snap in games and practices, and he just has never seemed to get the hang of it. And counting on a draft pick to start for you at Centre in Year One is pretty dangerous. Yes Brett Jones worked out but how often does that happen, and the Stamps had Jon Gott in case Jones didn't work out. I wonder if we have another move in the works to address this.

A gay guy would totally throw off the locker room dynamic. Now when we get all soapy and wrestle it could be taken the wrong way.

Moore is a difference maker, the two OL you mention are barely starters. Myddelton might be worth it if he can compete for us at centre.

Interestingly this now gives the Stampeders three picks in a row in the third round (23, 24, 25), before the Bombers pick at 26.

No problem with that as long as we have a capable backup LS. Having a starting linebacker as your longsnapper is playing with fire, IMO.

If only we had held on to Jordan Matechuk a little longer. Maybe we can make an offer to Chad Rempel in free agency... or make a trade for Huclack... bring "Huck" back to Winnipeg where he belongs.

This sounds like a really reasonable, well thought-out solution. The only issue I see is that they would need a 3 sided coin to decide who gets the ball first, which is of course absurd.

Jovon was actually pretty good at safety... Definitely an improvement over Cauchy...

I'd prefer Etcheverry. Already seen the Marshall defence enough, not a fan. At least the Etcheverry defence should be exciting. I'm not that worried about our D, I actually think we've got a pretty good core of players there. An experienced MLB like McCune or Jamall Johnson could go a long way for us.

Glad Stewart won't be back. I don't think anyone ruined his career. He has had many opportunities to succeed, he's shown he is incapable of playing anything but the field corner... failed miserably when given the opportunity at HB and SAM. Not sure he is worth the veteran's salary he would be commanding just to play that field corner spot. Not to mention the fact that he has always shown himself to be a me-first type of guy, rather than a team guy... stupid penalties, refusing to go down after an interception with no time remaining even though it's the safe play, constantly jumping routes and not coming up with the ball... never been a fan.

I'll be a little disappointed if the Bombers go into training camp without another QB that has a little CFL experience Worked fine last year with Edmonton................ well offensively at least. They did have an experienced backup though, just didn't need him

I don't mind Matt Carter but I don't think you want him out there every down. He hasn't been incredibly productive but he does seem to have a penchant for making clutch plays when called upon. I think it would be a stretch to call either of Carter or Bradwell "starting quality receivers." Even Anthony Parker... maybe he still has the potential to be a good receiver, but I'm not sure you bank on potential for being one of your starters. Certainly they must be confident that they are getting Kohlert back, because he is the best receiver scheduled to hit the market.

Bombers got the best out of any of the QBs available this off-season, and for the cheapest All hail Kyle Walters IWWT
