True but if we are saving money on a QB, and Henoc goes to the NFL, I imagine we'll have some cash to throw around. We need Canadian starters. By my count, if things stay the way they are, there are 6 Canadian starters from other teams that will hit free agency... Bourke, Laurent, Butler, Myddelton, Kohlert, and Emry. It would be nice to land one or more of those names.

How about Shea Emry? I know most people don't like him, but he would help us with the ratio if and when Henoc leaves.

I thought Bourke was a guard. If he plays left tackle, what would we do with January? Move him to right tackle... he's played there before anyways. Or relegate him to backup and start 5 NI OL.

Sounds like he wants to make a trade. Mentioned twice that he has already talked to other GMs whose teams might have 2 or 3 good QBs on the roster.

I can save the CFL a lot of trouble by telling them right now what day Feb 15 falls on next year. But it will cost them.

We only have 3 Canadian surefire starters under contract for 2014 (Watson, Greaves, Morley). Scary, isn't it? If we don't have tons of money to spend, that is gross mismanagement of the roster. Most teams have 7-10 Canadians who can start and that's where you should be dropping the bulk of your cash... a QB and your top Canadians. Paying good money for Henry Burris should have zero impact on our ability to sign free agents.
