It seems a little high but he is coming off a 40 goal season. I was surprised to hear that he is 13th in the NHL in goal scoring since he came into the league in 2010-11. Consistent goal scorer coming off his best year, and signing for 8 years... big money.

Maybe. Bennett has done everything that has been asked of him since coming here and he's had a great showing in training camp. I like McGuire but it would be hard to blame O'Shea for wanting to keep Bennett.

I don't think either one is good enough to be a starter but looks to me like Hecht won the job. I have a theory that they might surprise everyone by keeping Ortiz. As the backup kicker he will fulfil the roster spot requirement and he will never get injured. He would also give us a legitimate option if Medlock gets hurt in-game so we don't have to use a receiver or someone else as our kicker.

What are your thoughts on the Riders going into this season? From the outside it looks like lots of question marks, especially regarding Collaros, Craig Dickenson, and whether the defence can continue to be as dominant as they were under Chris Jones. I haven't been following their camp too closely though so I'm curious what the fans are saying.

Guzzo's response is even more telling. Claims he told Maciocia he could choose the 6 "primary important positions" but should prioritize QC university athletes for the rest. This guy would be a disaster as owner, I'm sure of it.

Looks like it's almost the entire starting lineup for the Riders so you'd think they should have a pretty significant edge heading into this game.

Leggett was hurt to start the season so Fenner had the job for the first 3 or 4 games. Then Leggett took it, then Gaitor.

His one and only start came in 2015 (his first year with Winnipeg) in the final, meaningless, game of the season and he went 16/25 for 169 yards, 0 TD 0 INT, plus 9 rushes for 34 yards. They lost. He was not terrible. Certainly not great. Then we kept him around for 2 more years and when he finally had a chance to start again, LeFeveour inexplicably got the start ahead of him. I have no idea whether Davis will turn into a good starting QB or not but it just seemed like really bizarre management of a player to develop him for so long and then bail on him at the very last moment when he actually had a shot.

I don't understand the "I could go to a Vikings game" argument. I go to Vikings games all the time. That is not this. The novelty is that it is in Winnipeg. Also I spend a grand every time I'm in Minne but that might just be a "me" problem...
