  1. Since they don't want to give us a depth chart, we make our own!!!
  2. Well it's been a long time for Davis and I'd like to see how he performs in a solid 3 or 4 game stretch of being the starter. I'm still not sure what to think.
  3. Is the recorded stream available online anywhere?
  4. I'll be really surprised if Hamilton doesn't win the east this year, they look good
  5. No no, I don't think it's a disaster by any means, just didn't see anyone 'pop'. Thinking back through the years I can remember a few receivers coming in and stealing the show in preseason (though some burned out quick) and we haven't had a single one in five years of Walters. It's just disappointing because I think they've done a great job everywhere else on the roster.
  6. Dylan Schrot locked up a practice roster spot last night, IMO. Could also see them keeping the Mexican kicker in town as well, but Hansen probably takes the global active roster spot. As for the new import receivers, pretty much par for the course for the Walters regime... big hype in camp and disappointment once the lights come on. Don't know why this group can't find receivers.
  7. The tone-deafness displayed by McKenna here defies description... absolutely clueless
  8. Yes yes you don't like Jake Thomas, as you've said 100 times since last season.
  9. Then Bryant would be sitting next week instead of this week. What's the difference?
  10. Jake Thomas had offers from other teams but wanted to stay in Winnipeg and was in talks with the Bombers throughout the offseason. The Bombers wouldn't meet his ask until Marouf went down and Ekakatie flamed out.
  11. Really not unusual to rest starters in the first preseason game, this seems like such an odd thing to debate...
  12. They're not going to be putting one out.
  13. They also have sales in Alberta which we don't really have here. As in, you go to the beer store and a 24 of budweiser, for example, is on sale 25% off.
  14. The impression I got from O'Shea's media availability today was that Streveler's involvement in the game will be minimal and this game will be about settling who wins the third string QB job. He did not say those exact words but he definitely implied it. We shall see.
  15. Sounds like we're going to see a lot of Bennett and McGuire
  16. Our Canadians with significant starting experience are currently Harris, Neufeld, Demski, and Wolitarsky. Hecht and Couture also have some limited experience as starters. Geoff Gray is essentially a rookie... Derek Jones, Brady Oliveira, Tui Eli, Cody Speller, Petermann and Simonise all could potentially start... but potential can go either way. It would be unwise to cut Thomas. At the very least, he gives us flexibility in case we get hit with a rash of injuries to our starting Canadians.
  17. Trudeau government signs secret settlement agreement with offshore tax cheats: https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5154610?__vfz=medium%3Dsharebar&__twitter_impression=true
  18. I don't necessarily disagree but I think the coaches do... Thomas has been working his way onto the #1 DL at practice this week, beside Nevis.
  19. Can we add a FB spot for Mike Sellers?? 🙂
  20. Just to clarify the argument Brandon is making... Green did not play more games against the East, but he had most of his production against the East. 601 of his 1095 yards and all four of his TDs were in 8 games against the east, and 494 yards and 0 TDs in the remaining 10 against the West.
  21. That game might get ugly fast.... yikes. That is a rough roster.
  22. Thomas is a lock to make the team and I think people should be prepared to see him playing at least 50 percent of snaps, if not starting outright. The more likely surprise cut is Brandin Bryant.
  23. I said I wasn't 100% sure. Thank you for the info! Hydro privatization would be an unmitigated disaster. I'm totally against it. But we haven't seen anything yet that indicates Pallister is even considering it so until then it is just a scare tactic by the NDP. The NDP recently put out mailers asking voters how they would feel about privatization, trying to gauge whether they could use the privatization bogeyman as an effective attack vector against the PCs. But the PCs themselves have never commented or taken any action towards that end so like I said, it's just a left wing fantasy for now.
