  1. The impression I got from O'Shea's media availability today was that Streveler's involvement in the game will be minimal and this game will be about settling who wins the third string QB job. He did not say those exact words but he definitely implied it. We shall see.
  2. Sounds like we're going to see a lot of Bennett and McGuire
  3. Our Canadians with significant starting experience are currently Harris, Neufeld, Demski, and Wolitarsky. Hecht and Couture also have some limited experience as starters. Geoff Gray is essentially a rookie... Derek Jones, Brady Oliveira, Tui Eli, Cody Speller, Petermann and Simonise all could potentially start... but potential can go either way. It would be unwise to cut Thomas. At the very least, he gives us flexibility in case we get hit with a rash of injuries to our starting Canadians.
  4. Trudeau government signs secret settlement agreement with offshore tax cheats: https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5154610?__vfz=medium%3Dsharebar&__twitter_impression=true
  5. I don't necessarily disagree but I think the coaches do... Thomas has been working his way onto the #1 DL at practice this week, beside Nevis.
  6. Can we add a FB spot for Mike Sellers?? 🙂
  7. Just to clarify the argument Brandon is making... Green did not play more games against the East, but he had most of his production against the East. 601 of his 1095 yards and all four of his TDs were in 8 games against the east, and 494 yards and 0 TDs in the remaining 10 against the West.
  8. That game might get ugly fast.... yikes. That is a rough roster.
  9. Thomas is a lock to make the team and I think people should be prepared to see him playing at least 50 percent of snaps, if not starting outright. The more likely surprise cut is Brandin Bryant.
  10. I said I wasn't 100% sure. Thank you for the info! Hydro privatization would be an unmitigated disaster. I'm totally against it. But we haven't seen anything yet that indicates Pallister is even considering it so until then it is just a scare tactic by the NDP. The NDP recently put out mailers asking voters how they would feel about privatization, trying to gauge whether they could use the privatization bogeyman as an effective attack vector against the PCs. But the PCs themselves have never commented or taken any action towards that end so like I said, it's just a left wing fantasy for now.
  11. I made a projected depth chart for Friday night out of the roster list https://imgur.com/a/n1TjlWi Edit: Updated the link to point to a revised version based on Bauming's tweets. @Floyd
  12. Long overdue! WRHA was bloated and inefficient.
  13. Haha! You're dreaming. Literally just making stuff up at this point.
  14. Like I said, excellent timing. The other political leaders in Manitoba are simply outclassed by Pallister right now.
  15. Nothing wrong with trimming the fat in government! Very good, financially prudent moves. The private construction industry should benefit from the increased workload.
  16. Well I don't see any sources for those claims
  17. Possibly! But then again we have been hearing about all the conservative cuts that would be coming since Pallister got elected and, I am not 100% sure, but I don't believe a single person has been laid off yet. So that may just be fear mongering by the left, just like the privatization of Hydro bogeyman.
  18. Yes regardless of PPV buys and actual dollar figures, I think the event has to be considered a success due to the amount of "buzz" that has been generated.
  19. Expect the Pallister gov to call an election within the next few weeks. A wise move, as the provincial NDP and Liberals support are both in the toilet.
  20. Desjarlais could technically go back to school but pretty sure other teams could sign him like Malik Richards. I am always confused about how exactly the rules surrounding guys returning to school work.
  21. Good point, totally slipped my mind.
  22. Have you had your nap today? Awfully ornery.
  23. Yes he is included. My current projection would be Neufeld, Couture, and Gray starting. Desjarlais and Speller compete for 6th OL with the other being the 7th OL on the 2-man reserve. Koczwara and Ouellet de Carlo try to earn a PR spot.
  24. Hervey is such a joke, hope the Lions tank this year
