I'm still nervous because you just never know. We can't get cocky now.

Jaw dropper on the night before the game. Wow.

Huge 6-2 win by the Moose tonight. 2 goals for Vesalainen, another multi point night for Appleton with a goal and 2 assists, 38/40 saves for Comrie. Logan Stanley scored a point for the second game in a row, playing big minutes on a pairing with Niku.

Mike Jones is a good player.. he has had some unfortunate drops but overall he might be the most dangerous Canadian receiver in terms of explosiveness. Solid route running, decent deep threat. There are not many Canadian receivers out there like that. Obviously Sinopoli is the gold standard for Canadian receivers but he plays a totally different style of game from Jones.

100% a work, maybe the greatest work of all time

I have to agree with that. It might be a tough pill for some to swallow if the Bombers lose in the semi final but O'Shea will be back next season either way.

Berdin playing well again tonight. His style is ridiculous. Like Hasek x10. The Appleton-Suess-Griffith line is lethal. Niku is a healthy scratch for breaking a team rule... no word on what happened.
-
He has been lights out. Carried the team to their last two wins. I'm very confident in saying he is a far superior prospect to Comrie at this point. Berdin started in the ECHL but I don't see how they could send him back down. Maybe if they are really dedicated to giving Comrie maximum play time and they don't want Berdin to ride the bench... but if they care about winning, Berdin should be the guy. Appleby should be gone for sure.

If you have TSN at home then you should be able to sign in to TSN using your account with your cable provider., and watch it here: https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/video/cfl-stampeders-vs-blue-bombers~1519006 If that doesn't work for you, it usually ends up on youtube eventually. But I don't have a link for that.

My honest opinion is that Jeff Mathews was the best quarterback the Als fielded all season. It's too bad he got hurt.

We're gonna have to beat both teams anyways so the question is WHEN do you want to face them. If Calgary wins this weekend, they're finishing the year on a high note and then they get the bye and we face them in the West final. We would have to beat Sask in the semi final when they are coming off a bye as well. Alternatively Calgary loses this weekend and we face them next week on a four game losing streak. And Sask would be coming off a weird two-week bye in the West final. I think I would prefer Calgary in the semi-final.

It seems to me they did best when they had all the old guys like Sting and Kurt Angle and whoever else. That was the appeal... seeing the legends still working. Now they're more directly competing with ROH and NJPW with their product (lots of younger talent, indie style wrestling) and they are kinda starting from square one. A typical wrestling fan would probably watch WWE/NXT, NJPW and ROH before Impact so they have a tough climb to get back the share they once had.

Hoping the Bombers win this one

I believe Selkirk has a nice little arena although probably only 3000 seats or so.

Start? Downtown has been improving since they built the MTS Centre. Where have you been?? It's still not perfect but opening Portage and Main would be inconsequential and barely worth mentioning compared to other improvements over the last decade and a half. Two thirds of the city is voting to keep it closed. Keep it closed.

54 is just an average. Some were seeing delays of several minutes and one direction was proposed to be shut down completely, so people would need to find a completely different route.

Team Open will have you believe that tearing down the barriers will suddenly have the downtown full of people living and working. As if the barriers at Portage and Main have a single thing to do with that. They'll also call you a bigot if you're against it... I think that's been my favourite one so far.
