  1. Best path available would be stealing second place from the Riders and getting a home playoff game. If not that, I don't see much difference between the paths on the west or the east. The Riders and Stamps have had great seasons but they are both dealing with lots of injuries and not playing their best football right now. Hamilton and Ottawa have had less impressive seasons but are both relatively healthy and are capable of having huge games. Hamilton in particular scares me.
  2. The Riders have an atrocious offence, a good secondary, great outside linebackers, and the best defensive ends in the league. I don't think any of that is arguable. It is interesting that they have won 10 games, second most in the league, with that being their scenario. Good coaching.
  3. Yes... I believe @kcin94 has it correct. The tiebreaking rules: When two or more member Clubs are tied in the final Division standings at the conclusion of the regular season schedule, preferential ranking for playoff purposes shall be determined on the basis of the following descending-order priorities and shall be awarded to the Club that: has won the greater number of games played against all member Clubs of the League, then, has the higher winning percentage in all games played against all of the other tied Club(s), then, has scored the higher net aggregate of points (i.e. points scored for less points scored against) in all games played against all of the other tied Club(s), then, has scored the higher net quotient of points (i.e. points scored for divided by points scored against) in all games played against all of the other tied Club(s), then, has the higher winning percentage in all games played against all member Clubs of the Division, then, has scored the higher net aggregate of points in games played against all member Clubs of the Division, then, has scored the higher quotient of points in games played against all member Clubs of the Division, then, has scored the higher net aggregate of points in games played against all member Clubs of the League, then, has scored the higher net quotient of points in games played against all member Clubs of the League, then, has won a coin toss against the other tied Club. Note: If two Clubs remain tied after other Club(s) are eliminated during any step, tie breaker reverts to step a).
  4. CFL football is not nearly as big in Canada as NFL football is in the States. Most of the people in Winnipeg are Jets fans first and foremost (...the Winnipeg Jets, that is...) and the Bombers are a distant second.
  5. 1. Bighill... just locked up MODP of the league, I think. 2. Taylor Loffler... ate Collaros' lunch big time. 3. Anthony Gaitor... who expected this guy to turn into such a solid SAM LB for us??? Happy honker to Darvin Adams for the big TD... that's where it all started.
  6. Four straight wins capped off with this dominant display. I feel bad for all the former Bomber fans who are "over this regime." They're really missing out.
  7. Mike Archer is their DC and he has been terrible. He was their LB coach last year and came in with some pretty impressive NCAA/NFL credentials but it clearly has not worked out.
  8. Suddenly not so confident
  9. And Moose win the home opener 2-1! Goal and assist for Griffith, one assist each for Niku, Schilling, and Spacek, and Appleton pots the game winner. 30/31 saves for Comrie.
  10. Dress rehearsal for when we beat the Riders in the playoffs.
  11. They shouldn't, on paper. They have lots of fringe NHL players and AHL stars. Niku, Poolman, Schilling, Stoykewich, Nogier... all very good D at the AHL level. Appleton, Griffith, Everberg, Lipon, Spacek... all good forwards at the AHL level. Suess, Reichel and McKenzie are nice additions, too. Comrie and Appleby have been good goalies at the AHL level as well. It's been a rough start to the season but I believe they have more than enough talent to turn it around, and they will.
  12. There are a few good offensive pieces there, I like this Burks character and Armanti Edwards and Llevi Noel are both good receivers... but yeah overall there is not a huge wealth of talent. Their OL also leaves something to be desired. And the defence has been pretty pathetic. I still think there is some good potential with James Franklin... I believe he will find more success in the CFL than MBT.
  13. I would say Lapolice is the second best offensive coordinator in the league behind Dickenson.
  14. I don't see any spots on the roster in dire need of upgrading but it would have been nice to pick up a receiver for some depth. We've seen the offence struggle without Dressler. Ultimately I still believe this roster is capable of winning the Grey Cup if they can stay healthy down the stretch.
  15. If Kyle Connor scores 40+ then 10 million is not out of the question. Goals get paid.
  16. I think even that is giving him a little too much credit
  17. Sask is coming in to Winnipeg on a short week and then they have to go to Calgary. 0-2 isn't a stretch. Their final game is against BC in Regina, then they end the season with a bye. I think BC with Lulay could beat the Riders but not Jennings. We'll see if he is healthy.
  18. What did the Stamps do last night?
  19. If we are looking to acquire a receiver Ernest Jackson could be an interesting option
  20. Manziel out-duelling Bo Levi Mitchell so far. Who knew? Manziel: 12/18 166 yards and 1 int. Mitchell: 9/19 93 yards and 1 int.
  21. Riveting first half of football
  22. What do you mean "does it matter"? I think that would be a lot more entertaining than another Stampeder blowout. And I never need an excuse to enjoy watching the Riders lose.
  23. Good morning everyone, it's a great day to watch the Riders get stomped at home. First things first, can Johnny Football shock the world and lead the Als to a win over the Stampeders??
  24. Running a good route is luck? That is just plain ridiculous
  25. That doesn't count, he didn't make the team
