So how many American reporters are going to be covering Ticats camp now? It's going to be a zoo over there all season. I'm excited to see what Johnny Football can do in the CFL. Whether he dominates, fizzles out, or fails spectacularly I'm sure it will be fun to watch.

The majority of people dying at the Gaza border are Hamas terrorists. Is Israel not allowed to defend itself? https://www.thejc.com/comment/comment/i-said-israel-should-be-ashamed-of-its-actions-on-the-gaza-border-now-i-am-the-one-who-is-ashamed-1.464233?platform=hootsuite

Ehlers has to score tonight -
I think it's implied to be a failure on management's part when a QB with Marve's qualifications and injury history is brought in. I liked Marve as a person and respected his drive but he simply had no business starting a pro football game. He squeezed out the win in 2014 (though he is not credited with a W) but when he started a game in 2015 it was painfully obvious... the man had no experience and simply couldn't read a defence. Maybe that's a little harsh but it's true. He had a big arm and good speed but it's all for naught if you can't think the game.
-
Fair point considering some of the guys who have come through.... but really... Marve started like ten games in his whole college career, was more broken than Buck Pierce, and couldn't read a defence to save his life. He had no business being in professional football. However
-
Marve...... really? Maybe the most unqualified QB to come through here in the last decade. Great athlete... no clue how to play quarterback.

I believe our good friend @Mark F was simply imagining the possibility of Ross/Streveler turning out well and how nice that would be.

No we're not doing predictions. -
I get what you're saying, but how do I know it actually happened if it is never proven?
-
Dirty tactic but not really unique to Trump. I don't approve, but at the same time, no one's right to vote is being taken away. If proven in a court of law, yes it would.
-
OK fair enough. So you don't like that Trump doesn't hide who he is. That doesn't bother me and so is not a redline. And those are all personal concerns, which to me, don't mean a thing. So no, none of those are a redline. Now, if he started implementing policies banning homosexuality or taking away the right to vote from women or black people, yes that would be a redline. But otherwise, sorry... don't care.
-
Sure, it doesn't matter much to me, he won and it's over and done with now. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "what's your red line?" That's a pretty open question. I could answer with "Invading Canada" if I wanted to, but of course that is unrealistic. Maybe be more specific with what you mean, and I could come up with something.

Yeah... he had no chance... he has no chance... he will have no chance.... yet there he is, President Trump. Every anti-Trump critic clings to something different, be it Russia, or Comey, or even the Dems rigging the primaries so Hillary would win. But the fact is he did win, and he still has a ton of supporters who would vote for him again. His approval rating is hovering around 42% which is pretty poor, but still enough to possibly win re-election... it has happened before. It would really depend on the strength of his opponent. The personal stuff doesn't faze me. Porn stars, rude comments, etc... means nothing to me. I'm about policy, not TMZ level nonsense. And I see a strong economy, I see unemployment falling. I see America finally calling out their allies for failing to carry their weight in agreements like NATO. I see a tax plan that reduces taxes. I see Trump putting pressure on North Korea in ways that no former president ever did. And I like it.
-
I wouldn't agree. If the clocks were turned back and the vote was Trump vs Hillary again, with everything we know now... Trump still wins. I know he'd still have my vote.
-
No different than Obama's legacy of mis-steps. But any time his name comes up, Dems scream "that's whataboutism!! Let's focus on Trump!" I'm just saying be prepared for the same response. Can't close pandora's box once it's open.
-
There's no shortage of good options for that on the left! And we're going to remember this when the Democrats get back in office, start causing problems, and every second sentence from their defenders starts with "Yeah but Trump...."
-
I'm sure Blumenthal would love that. He has his eyes on the presidency and he's not beating Trump!
-
Well said! No one remembers losers!

Like when Hillary collapsed on the campaign trail? Keep dreaming!

We can't stop here! This is bat country! -
Yes it was 100% his fault. He was the GM, HC, OC, and QB coach. There is no one else who bears any part of the blame.
-
@Rich Do you get a free subscription in exchange for that slick sales pitch?
-
I avoided it due to their "advanced stats or bust" approach to hockey reporting. Maybe I'm wrong on that but I know their founder is a big stats guy and I find it makes for dry stories and lots of misleading and inaccurate conclusions.

OK now I might actually have to subscribe to The Athletic. Would I rather pay to read articles by Friesen, Wiecek, or Penton? HMMMM TOUGH CALL!
