Honestly if Hutch plays against Washington and Buck against Nashville, the results are probably swapped... blowout loss against WSH and OT against NSH. Not sure it really matters at this point because we aren't catching Nashville for first.

Maybe I am misunderstanding you but I don't see how getting to the shootout provides us with any advantage. You've already secured the loser point so IMO you go for the win as soon as OT starts.

Well sports fans it looks like the Jets are for real. I've never seen a player like Laine before. He's not dominant at any point in the game but all it takes is a fraction of a second with the puck on his stick and it's going in the net. Ehlers is the opposite. Definitely our flashiest player. The way he can skate through opposing players and find the net or an open teammate is incredible. Not to mention one of the top 3 goalies in the league this year and a defence corps that is solid from 1-8. We are watching something special unfold. I am sure of it now.

Too bad he is fun-sized but if there was ever a time that a munchkin could make the NHL, it's now. Just look at what Yanni Gourde is doing in Tampa.

Appleton has been playing right wing pretty much the entire year. I don't recall him ever playing center... maybe really early on in the season.

Appleton definitely has a shot and he has been playing wing all year with the Moose.... that's probably where he slots in with the Jets too.

It was 4-1 Moose going into the third and then things really came off the rails. I'd say it was a team breakdown more than on Mason. 6 PIM for Petan... three minors. Iowa scored to open the third period, right after their PP on a Petan penalty ended, and then they scored a couple more times before the Moose got the game back under control. Said it before but Niku's a player. He'll be in the NHL at some point next season, IMO. I liked Spacek's game too. It is crazy that the Jets can have such a young lineup including guys like Morrissey, Connor and Roslovic yet the prospect cupboard is still so full.
