Cortez among OC's on Bomber wish list
M.O.A.B. replied to Mr. Perfect's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I hope the Bombers will add McAdoo and Heimebacuh on their OC candidate list. -
Cortez among OC's on Bomber wish list
M.O.A.B. replied to Mr. Perfect's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
That's what worries me....is he just executing Austin's O......also, they appeared to be attached at the hip, and not sure there's any separating them. Same can be said with Marcus Brady with Millanovich's Offense -
Cortez among OC's on Bomber wish list

You don't think the starting qb should be heard before hiring an oc? They heard his opinion in retaining Bellefuille... just saying. -

Per Lawless, Lions denied permission for Bombers to speak to Khari Jones for the vacant OC job. My reaction? Thanks Buono. -
Chris Jones to Saskatchewan Roughriders confirmed

I'm expecting most (if not all) of Jones' assistants will follow him in Regina. -
Bombers sign John Rush and Billy Pavopoulos
M.O.A.B. replied to Goalie's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Argo's had him in this year. oh.. didn't know that, thanks... I guess that means he's at least still in shape and can still kick... Pavlopoulos was signed by the Argos early Oct 14. Later that day, the Riders traded Messam to the Stamps and they got Crapigna in return. Lauthier who was residing on the Riders PR got released because of Crapgina. Argos later picked up Lauthier and then released Pavlopoulos. -
Bombers sign John Rush and Billy Pavopoulos

I think the intent is to permanently twist Rod Black's tongue. -
Chris Jones to Saskatchewan Roughriders confirmed

If Chris Jones goes to the Riders will OC Stephen McAdoo follow him? I would like the Bombers to make a play for him too. -

Of course, the Esks interest is to keep him... but that's not necessarily Chris Jones' personal interest. -

It looks like Hervey or Jones for the Esks. So if you're Len Rhodes... who do you keep? -
Bombers sign John Rush and Billy Pavopoulos
M.O.A.B. replied to Goalie's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I just hope this signing means we are moving Hurl or at least reconstruct his 6-digit contract. Another LB that I wish the Bombers will pursue (if he becomes freeagent) is Thomas Miles. -
Well during the Kelly year he made it clear that Murphy had the database and had the list of guys to go after. Hence the napkin joke about Taman. After reading this article (from 2012 btw) I have no doubt that it was Murphy who found the talent in 2009. The database probably resides in his head; he seems to have some kind of photographic memory: http://www.calgaryherald.com/sports/Meet+John+Murphy+with+backup+plan/7521855/story.html The comment at the bottom of that article is depressing. In fairness though, Morris was said to be the same in terms of providing information about player(s). I think the key is which of these players fit the team's system which seems to be questionable in our scouting dept.

I get that. But leaks do happen especially with use of social-media. So if I'm Walters and I hear and comfirm that the club is talking to Hufnagel then I have to decide for the best of my interest too, so bye-bye Bombers... hello Guelph, that's just easy.
-
If you are 100% guaranteed that Huff will actually go here, then why not. It's a no-brainer, right? But if you cut your GM and HC and make a gamble and offer him the highest $$$ and he still end up with the other team... then you will be in a complete mess and the organization's reputation will be a lot worse than it is now.

I just wish that Sorensen stumbles again coming out of that tunnel like what he did on the IGF inaugural... ... that might lift the curse in IGF

I believe it was Mack who is responsible for bringing Crowton here.

I could be wrong but I got an impression that Andrew Harris doesn't like Cortez' offense. -

Not any worse then it is now. Except he'd be a rookie GM and have more on his plate, and on a team with less talent. Jones have the Bombers numbers over the years since he became a DC in 2003, the only he hasn't win in a year was in 2007. The Bombers only won once against Chris Jones Def since 2010. Here's his record vs the Bombers. It will be huge since we will be playing the Riders 3x in a year. 2003 - MTL DC 2-0 2004 - MTL DC 2-0 2005 - MTL DC 1-1 2006 - MTL DC 2-1 2007 - MTL DC 0-3 2008 - CGY DC 1-1 2009 - CGY DC 1-1 2010 - CGY DC/Asst.HC/Asst.DirofPP 2-0 2011 - CGY DC/Asst.HC/Asst.DirofPP 2-0 2012 - TOR DC/Asst.HC/Asst.GM 2-1 2013 - TOR DC/Asst.HC/Asst.GM 3-0 2014 – EDM HC/DC 2-0 2015 - EDM HC/DC 2-0 And which of those teams was he rebuilding by himself? Jones has experience in personell and scouting. He will be a rookie in title only. And for sure, he will hire his assistants as well. -

CFL News @CFL_News .@SUNMitchell on @hustlerlawless: "If Chris Jones is offered it (#Riders HC/GM), he's gone in a heartbeat to Regina." #CFL #Esks If this happens, it will be a really bad new for the Bombers. -
Riders will be tough to retain most of those because of cap-mess created by Taman.
