Marcel Bellefeuille - When does he get axed
M.O.A.B. replied to Brandon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Poor Mike, he has trouble drawing conclusions from Coyote and Road Runner cartoons. Maybe he need to watch the Minion instead. -
Agreed, that's the first thing I noticed on the play... not only was the punt right down the middle it also had no hang time ... the ST unit was basically SOL right from the beginning... Lirim shoulders most of the blame for that particular punt return... Yep great point. I was against the wind and LH was just trying to kick it as far as he could, instead of concentrating on putting it to a corner (which he is usually good at). We say someone 'vacated' a lane but the punt cover team in the huddle knows where the ball (as in what side) is being kicked too - and it's never kicked 'in the middle'. There's just so many things going on during a punting play that we really don't know. But that being said - 3 TD returns from punts and it's only the halfway mark is unacceptable, but so is our crappy defense (if you bothered watching the Eskie/Cal game - lots of two and outs there but didn't see a D get 'tired' - that "our D got tired in the second half" excuse a lot of you use around here is pure BS) and pathetic offense. At least we're consistent all across the board. Except for the fans - fans are still the best IMO. For the record Troy Westwood said that LH followed Bob Cameron's golden rule when kicking into the wind by hitying it low and as far as he could. The TD return is on the players and/or scheme set up for that type of punt. Having said that giving up 3 punt returns for td's in 10 games is not very good. I don't know how firing Tracy and MOS now having to take on ST duties will help this team but the yhad to do something and firing Bell-fail is not an option at this point in the season. He is here to stay at least this year and for all we know they love his scheme and are blaming the woes on offence on lack of execution by the players. If they blame the losses to the "lack of execution of the players" then that really falls to O'Shea. That's the very reason claimed by Chamblin why the Riders lose their first 9 games.

Tell defalted guy to call up Buono and ask if he likes that trade proposal.
-
Wally told me that the deflated guy has deflated credibility also.
-
I hope the Bombers will also try to get Brett Jones or Matt O'Donnell.... then trade Picard or Greaves after.
-
OL Brett Boyko added on Eagles PR OL David Focault added on Panthers PR WR Duron Carter added on Colts PR LB Brian Peters added on Vikings PR OL Austin Pasztor acquired from waiver by Browns
-
Lapo or Benevides will be their popular selection.
-
At this point, I dont care anymore if he will be fired after the season. I suggest bring in Dyce as the next HC, maybe a Winnipeg guy can bring the urgency and will to this club to win the next Grey Cup for this province.

I think let say goodbye for our hopes to see Muamba back in blue&gold. With our current situation, he won't come back here to spend another 2-3 years without a chance to win a cup.
-
worth considering ...trade Picard to the Lions who is starting an import center for a 1st round draft pick or a package of starter/pick. ...then offer a boatload of cash to make Muamba the highest paid LB in the league
-
OT Brett Boyko was cut by Eagles. He is a property of the Lions. OT David Focault was cut by Panthers. He is a property of the Als.
-
OT Matt O'Donnell cut by Bengals.

Wild > Simmons Muamba > Hurl

Henoc might be picked up by other NFL teams. If he comes back to the CFL that would be a big sweepstakes. Ola is a good picked up too

Bombers Release QB Russell & RB Thomas

Making a room for Mitchell Gale, perhaps? -
Who gives us the best chance to win the LDC?
M.O.A.B. replied to Harbaugh's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
My answer is Brett Smith. He need to pass the ball to our DBs instead of his receivers. -
Messam and Allen combo will be back this Sunday.

I actually agree on that one. In my uneducated observation, Willy and Nicholls are both the same kind of QB, a pocket passer primarily but can make a unexpected scramble when needed. I could see this duo work for us, with Willy as #1 and Nicholls as a vet #2, then we can get a younger QB for short yardage plays at #3. Unfortunately we might wait until next season to see that.
-
No, cause they just traded it to Hamilton. How do you trade a conditional pick? Or was the only condition that Nichols report here? It is a sure 7th rounder, it will upgrade to 6th rounder if Nichols is still with the Bombers in 2017.

Verbal agreement with Lemon ,, probably just waiting until the I's are dotted and T's crossed. Verbal agreement... I remember we had a verbal agreement with Gregg Carr first night of the free-agency in the past, only to find out the next morning that he decided to sign with Edmonton who gave him 10k more than he agreed upon with Winnipeg. Not saying he will not sign with Ottawa eventually, but maybe another (NFL) team gave him a call and shown interest and he will give it another get-go.
-
I wonder why there's no official announcement from the RedBlacks yet regrading Shawn Lemon's signing.

CFL ✔ @CFL TRADE ALERT: The @EdmontonEsks have acquired OL Brian Simmons from the @Ticats Esks used the 2017 7th round pick they acquire from the Bombers to get OL Brian Simmons.

I don't really know anything about defenses and the pros and cons of it. I read an article yesterday about Chip Kelly and the Eagles preferring a 3-4 defense primarily to stop the run and make their opponents a one-dimension (pass) team. I know this is NFL. Can any people with know-how, expand on the pros and cons of a 3-4 and 4-3 defenses. Thank you.
