  1. Is it safe to assume that by Saturday morning (after 48 hours) we will know who the next Bombers DC is?
  2. Is that an "agressive front 7" and a "bend but dont break secondary" ?
  3. my wish... Mike Benevides - Co-Defensive Coordinator / Linebackers Richie Hall / Co-Defensive Coordinator / Defensive Backs Mike Sinclair or Carl Hairston - Defensive Line
  4. Agree. Lirim's play (will) set the early retirement for Renaud. Well, I guess Mike's renovation business will go all-season now.
  5. Is Mike Renaud retiring too? Greaves ‏@GreavesChris 5m5 minutes ago @MRenaud9 I saw you today and I didn't even say best of luck on the retirement. What does that make me? A jerk. #AwesomeTeammate #Congrats
  6. As what? Cuz special teams ain't available here. DL coach? Lb coach? Db? Doubt it. Why not... our ST is nothing to write home about I would think Richie Hall is a very humble guy and probably will take the demotion in the Riders camp quite well. But it's obvious Chamblin doesnt like him. So unless there are any HC opening in CIS who will consider Hall, might as well move next door (Bombers who has job openings) even for a defensive coach position (assuming Benevides gets the Bombers DC job) instead of working with a guy who doesn't like him.
  7. In fairness though, the Riders OL are notorious in holding and the zebras missed calling a lot of it. I think there's a stretch of games last year that the Riders OL wasn't called for even a single holding penalty.
  8. Would Richie Hall move to other team even if it's not for DC position?
  9. Walters strikes me as a guy who knows what he is doing. He surely looks like he has a good handle of the clubs SMS. He already expressed that they are going to be extremely aggressive when it comes to NI OLs. I think it's just right to prioritize upgrading that area since that's our weakest link for how many seasons now. Next weakest is the LB corps but imports are generally cheaper than NI especially if they are new faces from down south.
  10. Does the managements pays for the Gatorade now? instead of the players?
  11. Do you not remember how bad our long snapping was when Ian Wild was injured? I'm not defending Fitzgerald here. I agree that he has bad performance when he took over the LS when Wild was hurt. There are people here who are supporters of Fitzgerald and the question is more directed to them. I'm not sure the Bombers will carry 3 FB on gameday. So my guess he will be cut.
  12. What does this say to Fitzgerald future with the Bombers?
  13. Plus Philip Hunt or Alex Hall will come in cheaper than Odell Willis at this point.
  14. If Walters is willing to outbid anyone just to get Heenan, Heenan + Picard will amount close to $500k per season. Well I guess, if they are willing to spend big money, investing it on the OL is the top choice. Can't win games if the QB is always on the turf.
  15. Probably receivers. McMann will be the RB coach and ST coach.
  16. Free Agency... Heenan and/or Holmes, Don Oramasionwu and Taylor Reed CFL Draft... Nick Demski
  17. I'm hoping the next DC will bring in this guy as DL coach... Carl 'Big Daddy' Hairston... a father figure just like beloved coach Richard Harris was.
  18. 6-game IR ... but then what's the point? You don't hide veterans. You hide talent you want to develop. Certainly, not the way Austin used his 6-game IR last year.
  19. Bombers can hide one of Morley & Neufeld on the IR. So their salary wont count to the cap.
  20. I think he played some Safety and some LB in Hall's D, before he signed with Winnipeg.
  21. Good for Ian.
  22. Kirk Penton @PentonKirk Demond Washington signed a one-year contract. #Bombers
  23. The less holes we have comes TC, the better. Right now, our immediate holes are LT, RT, MLB, WIL, SAM and a WR. If Walters can fill it up on FA that would be great.
  24. Wylie is a big fan though and he is regarded as a top notch OL coach in the CFL.
