There's no way anyone is going to make Matthews an offer anywhere near 180k annually, why would you even approach him with that ridiculous of an offer? I doubt he's even asking for that much. oh ok. i thought he gonna ask that much considering he was 1 yr away from being the top rookie. realistically, how much do we need to offer Matthews to have a good shot of resigning him ?

if I'm Walters I offer Matthews the same $$$ we gave Moore for Laurent I'll make the highest paid DL if I can sign him for 3 yrs.

Lavertu... the only problem is, Ottawa might shy away from Tardif given his performance in the Shrine game and pickup Lavertu instead. They actually dont have depth on their C, since Hage might be retiring after a year or two. Goosen... is not a bad consolation prize, to think he bump a lot of guys on the standings seems this guy is also a good prospect. My pick is Lavertu but Goosen wont be bad.

since Tardif might get an NFL sniff, i've got a feeling that Ott will screw us and pick Lavertu as #1 overall, knowing he is our top choice.

From H&L this afternoon, Walters said there are no more deal are in the works as of the moment. They'll focus next on identifying what areas need to be addressed and bring guys from the US. i'm thinking they are also reserving cap room for Matthews and Laurent when those guys fail to land a gig in the NFL.

Burris is one the most durable QB in the CFL, I understand Glenn's side since he's contract is rumored to be has incentives depending on the he started/played. I can see him coming here as #2 since, he has a good chance on starting if Willy encounters some bumps. That said, if I'm KW, I wouldnt give up the #2 overall. I'll send him the rights to either Mulumba or Bilukidi though.
