No they aren't. Etcheverry's major downfall is that his system always comes out looking like gangbusters and then once teams figure out his mad scientist schemes, he's unable to adjust or add wrinkles to keep offenses on their toes. He's got a great defense if you're looking to win the "Before Labour Day Grey Cup" well we have to hire 2 mad scientists then. 1 before the labor day and 1 after.

If Coombs will have a good combine, I wouldn't be surprised if climb within the top 5. Let's wait and see.

Is Coombs an off-the-board selection at #2 overall ? How about pick him at #2 and the Bombers swing a trade for 2nd rounder and pick Goossen?

Maybe learning from the Carr FA debacle. the Carr debacle wasn't on management that was on Carr. They had agreed to a deal, but Carr is the one that backed out and didn't give the Bombers a chance to match. agree it's Carr/agent fault, they didn't give Mack & co to match the offer. that's why Walters said they will match as long as Henoc/agent will give them the chance. well, they were not in the sweepstakes from the beginning. they got BLM who is better than Collaros and 2 vet backups in Tate and McPherson.

Gonna be tough to pull that off without a second round pick. We pick at 2 and then not again until 20. I know. I'd try and pretend that I think Coombs will tumble as a running back but I really don't think he will. Or sit tight to become a midseason injury / desperation signing guy like Michael Bishop. The QB supply in the CFL is still thin enough that it's unthinkable that someone with Burris' pedigree will be sidelined for long, even if he doesn't go to training camp. Say Edmonton loses Riley or BC loses Lulay for the season, I bet you'd see an unemployed Hank get employed quick. sit and he wont collect a paycheck. injuries will come but when? sign for backup role and collect a paycheck every week.

if we get collaros and every team are set on their starting to qb, burris has no option but to get a backup role. say if collaros or stating qb got hurt midway, it would be good to have a burris as an insurance
