  1. rumors from the Esks camp, if Chris Jones will become the HC, he might bring Maas as OC.
  2. we all do, but you can only do that if you have an good amount of candidates expressed their interest on the job opening.
  3. Noel Prefontaine as STC? He and O'Shea are said to be formulating ST schemes and tricks for the Argos before, even when they are still playing together. Another candidate STC is Bob Dyce but will he do a lateral move?
  4. who then will be our ST Coordinator?
  5. same here, I want Burke to stay as DC but if he leaves he leaves. if O'Shea becomes the HC i got a feeling he will give Stubler a call to be a DC/Asst HC.
  6. if Burris becomes a free agent, it will be stupid for the Bombers not to sign him, even if we have Collaros.
  7. as i said before, im hoping for Higgins but Walters is not bad for me. im optimistic that the tandem of Walters and McManus will work.
  8. unless Cortez is going to go behind center himself, he's not going to fix anything without a decent qb who can execute plays. Bill Walsh would have failed here in 2013. A good QB can make even an average OC look good, but a bad qb can make a good OC look terrible. Cortez is good, but it helped he's had Burris and Durant the past two years as his QB's. Justin Goltz or Jason Boltus as your QB? Good luck with that. Do you honestly think Miller / Walters will go with Hall, Boltus and Goltz in 2014?
  9. I voted for Higgins because of his wide experience. I want him as GM/HC to be honest, I'm not sure if he will come in as HC only but if Miller/Walters can convinced him to be then all good. The guy is just winning wherever he goes. Second choice will be Cortez, for obvious reason. We haven't have a decent O in 4 years this guys can fix it real quick.
  10. Bilukidi finally catched up on the Bengals.
  11. So basically Walters is the GM and Miller is making all the hirings and decisions ? do they hired anyone already?
  12. well, McManus is not a cast-off
  13. I don't see anything wrong with that. If Miller / Walters can name their whole staff day/s after the GC only proves that they been diligently working on it since their season ended which is contrary to what the others are saying that they are doing nothing.
  14. if the Bombers couldnt bring in Wylie I wouldnt mind him as OL coach.
  15. 3 at least. Micah Johnson, Demonte Bolden and Marquay McDaniel. Rider circle jerk is acting like they upset the '81 Eskimos. their push upfront is invisible last night
  16. I like Stamps vs. Argos but it looks like it will be Riders vs Ticats
  17. Denmark has had the same receivers coach since he's been in the CFL. I seem to recall Howell was a defensive and ST coach his first year. Was he also working with the receivers? He was the the defensive back coach in his first year (with Lapo).. Walters was ther ST coach then and we have an American receivers coach On his second year he was moved from the defense to offense as receivers coach (still with Lapo) and Burke retained him to that position
  18. Perhaps people are a little bit confused as to the process of how these decisions are being made. The GM is typically the one to be the face of the decisions when facing the media. The CEO certainly has final approval or course, but usually gives his "yes" or "no" and then lets the GM handle the announcements and the questions, and the press conferences, etc. All people have seen today is Miller. When do we hear from Walters? When he is given the fulltime GM title already.
  19. how do you it will be cheap? do you have any figures to back it up?
  20. wow. seems like the endof the world for you. chill man.
  21. Khari s definitely an interesting candidate although is a big gamble... personally i dont mind if he turns out to be the best among the other HC candidates... but i want to see that candidate list That same goes for the next GM, too
  22. it was Tim Burke's defense that brought this club to Grey Cup in 2011. Previous to that he's defense is in Grey Cup 3 consecutive years. i admit he's a bad head coach but he's a very good defensive coordinator.
  23. Not directed at you specifically but why do people always think a fired coach would want to take a year off and collect the money rather than coach. agree... look at George Cortez, he could have take a year off and collect money while sitting pretty at home but he chose to go to the Riders and serve as OC. some people chose to earn their keep while working hard for it, some people chose to sit and relax while receiving their ration. Not to say the one is better and the other is bad. To each his own.
  24. YAY! what's my price?
