  1. Anyone have a copy of this book? I was thinking of picking one up but wanted to see what people thought of it. http://johanyjutras.ifmerch.com/en/products/johanyjutras-book-our-league-our-country-the-cfl-book
  2. LOL at Rod Pedersen: 1 – How unfortunate that the 2016 Banjo Bowl was marred by the incident involving a 9-year old Winnipeg boy. Bomber fans reportedly mistook the child for a Rider fan (he was wearing a Blue Bomber t-shirt under a green bunnyhug), and he was sworn at and had beer dumped on him. He left the stadium in tears. Can you think of anything more despicable? Would it make it right if the child was a Rider fan? 2 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers should be commended for dropping off a gift basket for the kid at his house, but be condemned for provoking the whole situation in the first-place. The promotional video the Bombers released in advance of the game featured the Bomber mascots attacking a Rider fan, disrobing him in an alley, and re-dressing him in Blue Bombers gear. That almost sounds like what happened Saturday afternoon at the game doesn’t it? 3 – The Roughriders’ ads for games in other cities have nothing to do with denigrating the opponent’s fanbase and everything to do with celebrating the Rider Nation. (i.e. the Roll Call billboards in Hamilton and Edmonton this year). You’d never see the Riders call other teams’ fans “Horrible People”. SMH. http://www.riderville.com/2016/09/14/rods-blog-2/
  3. Welcome back Glenn! We (...er...at least some of us...) missed you!
  4. Drunken Bomber fans can be assholes, no question about it. But something about this story doesn't add up. Going after a nine year old kid? Maybe one drunken moron would do it, but to have multiple people go after the kid? I just can't see it. Maybe I am giving people too much credit, I don't know. I certainly have witnessed some extreme jack hole behavior, but never against a kid.
  5. And really, if Willy goes to Toronto and lights it up, I think this trade is still a big win for the Bombers. Sometimes a change of scenery is all a guy needs, and that change may never going to happen if the guy stays put. Would Seguin be the player he is today if he stayed in Boston? There is no way you can ever say for sure.
  6. I was just going to say that. I am pretty sure I saw the same thing.
  7. The biggest question still lingers: will Glenn take Willy's number 5 or will we retire it? Stay tuned!
  8. Lmao, Glenn is already more polarizing than Willy was.
  9. Really though, he is suited perfectly for the offence Lapo is running. More so than Nichols even.
  10. I am glad to have Glenn back and a big stinky poop to anyone who says otherwise.
  11. As much as I want the Eskies to fail, seeing Hunt and Willis together again is kind of cool.
  12. Am I only the one that thought Frederick was playing better than Adams has so far?
  13. One Republic is actually a pretty good choice.
  14. The best part of that Facebook post was all the crazies taking it seriously. I'm no Pallister fan, but this is objectively funny.
  15. http://www.bluebombers.com/2016-blue-bombers-legacy-dinner/ Pretty sure it sells out every year. I can't believe we are trash talking about a fricking dinner...
  16. Well, based on recent behaviour, we know it isn't humble pie on the menu...
  17. Please tell me that was intentional. If so, is that from something or did you make it up yourself? I am going to use it from now on...
  18. There is a blurry gif of it here: http://3downnation.com/2016/09/04/kicking-coaching-cost-riders-labour-day-classic/
  19. It seems like strange coincidence to me that the o-line (sacks and running game) suddenly got THAT much better the second Nichols took over. I get that we have Bond in for Paddy McInjuryFace, but I don't see Nichols panic as much under pressure as Willy seemed to. And as much as the run opens up the pass, it goes both ways. Oddly, the things we were hopeful for (better long ball accuracy) and worried about (more picks) haven't really materialized under Nichols. He seems to be operating the same ball control, short passing offense that Willy was, but doing it just a bit better.
  20. The more I watch the replay of the PI, the more I am convinced it was the correct call. Even after the game I thought maybe we got away with one, but the Rider DB is basically hooked onto Dressler's arm through the entirety of his route. It can't even be called hand fighting because I didn't see Dressler do anything but try to get his arm free. The most hilarious part of the whole Rider fan meltdown is the lack of acknowledgement of the fact that, contrary to everything they have told themselves over the last few years, they are not special. Actually, I take that back. Two losing seasons has resulted not in the usual calls to fire the coach or the GM, but rather the mass production of tin foil hats, boycotts and misguided petitions to the league they claim to have created. They are special.
