  1. I believe the Stamps are just about ready to reveal their upgrade plans for McMahon as well.
  2. You would think so judging by the outside of the building but apparently it's still open.
  3. It's not adding up for me. Durant would have mostly been dealing with MOS, Lapo & Buck. MOS's record stands for itself on this type of thing. Lapo has talked about how having kids changed the way he managed his work/life balance so he could be home more so I don't think it would have come from him. Buck has turned down job offers to keep him family settled here so I don't see it being him either. So who else would have had that much influence on a back-up veteran QB? If Durant talked to the assistant junior waterboy and got his panties in a bunch, well that's on him but it sounds like bullshit to me.
  4. Can you cite an example where a guaranteed contract has been re-negotiated?
  5. Yes, he is eligible to practice now but would still have to miss the next 2 games for the cap savings. Just because Neuf is practicing again, doesn't mean he is ready to go back or that Osh will throw him back in there this week (no different than when Lawler came back to practice but wasn't immediately re-inserted to the line-up.
  6. It's now been confirmed. Sad news. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/blue-jackets-forward-johnny-gaudreau-brother-killed/
  7. I don't think those 2 count as PR spots. With the addition of Bowers-Kane, we have a full PR of 12 guys and that's not including the 2 Rifles players. The CBA allows junior players to participate in practice without being signed to a contract so I assume that's what this is since there are zero transactions on the CFL site for either guy. Not sure about Davis, but Banfield first joined the PR in May so they aren't new additions either. https://portageonline.com/articles/banfield-joins-blue-bombers-practice-squad
  8. I can't find the salary cap penalties at the moment but when the football ops cap was introduced, the penalties could reach up to a fine of $250k & the loss of up to 3 draft picks. I would imagine the players cap has similar penalties. https://www.cfl.ca/2018/12/06/cfl-introduces-non-player-football-operations-cap/
  9. Don't care what these other guys think because to me
  10. Our junior football scene just isn't as strong as the other western provinces and it shows on the field. Our best players often leave to play elsewhere (Banfield for example had been playing in BC).
  11. He didn't even make it to camp. He failed his physical which was due to the Bailey hit
  12. Well the police themselves have said this isn't anything unusual so this could very well be something that's been happening for years and just hasn't been made the news.
  13. It's too bad TKO/HHH didn't get him in this year. Vince was gone in January and the HOF ceremony was in April so there was time to do it. Wonder if they weren't entirely aware of Sid's medical situation or if everyone (including Sid) thought they'd have a bit more time.
  14. Haven't seen any of their pre-season games but sounds like he's showing flashes of potential and the expected mistakes. https://bvmsports.com/2024/08/21/giovanni-manu-early-progress-breakdown-as-2024-lions-rookie/
  15. https://411mania.com/wrestling/sid-vicious-has-passed-away/
  16. Exactly this. He wasn't drafted or signed as a FA in 2020. The Giants gave him a workout as a receiver in 2021 but that's as close as he got to the NFL. Either he was really delusional or he had a terrible agent blowing smoke up his ass, because he had no shot at becoming an NFL QB at that time.
  17. A free Big Mac & a pack of smokes for the first 5000 people at the game!
  18. Yep. Riders released him because he wasn't fully healed from getting trucked by Bailey.
  19. Must be a remix. Heard he made one after Rourke came back to the Lions... Two in the morning, got the fat burger. Even saw the lights of the Goodyear blimp and it read "Farhan's a simp".
  20. Not at all gates. Guess they were testing it out before rolling it out everywhere.
  21. Not sure it's an agent thing. Sounds like the agent was just as in the dark as the Jets were.
  22. Calgary & Toronto were the only other clubs with decent records that year (everyone else was .500 or below) and the Lions beat both teams with big stats when he played. BC crushed Toronto early in week 3 (blowout game & padded stats as he kept airing it out against a clearly beaten team). He beat Calgary in week 10 (huge numbers, huge 4th quarter comeback so full marks for that one). He didn't suit up in either rematch (Calgary in week 15 & Toronto in week 18) but came back in time to beat Calgary in the West SF. He definitely had a number of games where he stayed in well past the point a team would normally keep their starter in there.
  23. The "real" Rourke in 2022 was 0-3 against us with some very pedestrian stats (43 of 73 or 59% with 4 TD's and 4 INT's). Until he proves he can beat us, rust is just an easy out.
