Correct. His agent called Wally and asked them to release him so he could pursue wrestling. Wally didn't have a problem with that so he granted their request. It was also 2 months into the season, not in training camp. http://vancouversun.com/news/staff-blogs/the-rocks-diss-reverberates-through-cfl

Around The League Regular Season Discussion
bigg jay replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Harris reminded me of Willy on that play. Held on to the ball too long and paid the price. Hopefully he isn't too banged up. -
Google Hb2. They convened a special session specifically to pass this bill in March. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/politics-government/article68401147.html

This is in response to a new law that was passed this spring, not some old law they just left on the books. Not that it matters though.... a sh***y law is still sh**ty no matter how old it is. The NBA is not the 1st and won't be the last to pull out over this.

And this was him in university... not quite as big but still jacked.

Not sure how those guys compare to a Ricky Collins but I wouldn't say a single player on that list slipped through any cracks. A couple might have been mistakes to let them go, in hindsight, but they weren't players that got missed. Khari spent 3 years as back-up to Damon Allen before the Bombers traded for him. Nash was cut by Montreal an year and a half after being an all-star. Coleman was a 3 time all-star who left the Stamps to play in the XFL and came to Winnipeg as a FA. Bolden only played for us or in the NFL. Sellers signed as a FA after being getting into trouble off the field while in the NFL. Brown's story is well known. Wally wouldn't pay what he wanted so his rights were traded.

Does a blow out at home Thursday get MOS fired?
bigg jay replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I was firmly on the side of not firing MOS until year end but the more I watch, the more I'm fine with him getting the axe sooner rather than later. Even if the season is a write off, canning him now at least sends the message to the players that nobody's job is safe so they better bust their asses if they want to stay employed. -

Could be a quick season for Lock of the Week. Looks like 5 people got knocked out last night by picking Messam or Harris & another 5 got pushed to 4 strikes. At this rate, we could probably start again half way through the season!

Stroman went to Raw and the other 2 went to SD.

Or pay a sh*tload of money like Saskatchewan. They're on their 3rd HC in 7 seasons (5 if you include temporary coaches) but they were still able to land Jones because they were willing to pay the big price tag. Not sure if the Bombers are or were willing to do that.

I come back to civilization after spending a few days in the mountains of BC and I feel like I went back in time. Adding Pokémon to ninja turtles, transformers and ghostbuster movies, I had to wonder what decade I was in!

Miesha got crushed. Should have taken the rematch with Holm.

His base pay is 2.5 million for this fight so 5 million if he wins (assuming he has the standard show/win contract) plus however many millions in unannounced bonuses. 10 million probably isn't far off.

He might not be one and done. He left the door open to future fights at the press conference on Wednesday when he was asked about it. He wouldn't go into details but he basically said it would be a question better suited for Vince. It will probably come down to his performance tonight. If he wins, I would think the WWE is more likely to let him fight again. If he gets destroyed, then it's probably a moot point.

Game day GIF THREAD: Jellystone Park Edition
bigg jay replied to Wanna-B-Fanboy's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Might need a bigger bottle after this week. -
To be fair, BC isn't looking very good tonight, it's more that Hamilton is awful right now. The Ti-Cats performance tonight makes our game last week look decent.

Oilers reportedly offering lucic 42 million over 7 years. Not a good week for Chiarelli.
