Very much like their wrestling careers!

It was a bit part, iirc... a guard at Arkham. That was his last role before politics so he might have already been focused on that job. He became good friends with Arnie during Predator so it might have just been Arnie doing his buddy a favor with that spot.
I didn't say they were good movies... just that they were big! The Rock certainly has movies that rank worse than "meh" as well (Tooth Fairy comes to mind).

Jesse Ventura had a pretty good run before leaving for politics His big movie resume includes Predator, Running Man, Demolition Man, Major League 2 and Batman & Robin.

That's assuming the base pay is low though. I doubt you'll attract any good, established players with an offer like that.

RE: incentives, its kind of a gamble for both sides, you win some you lose some
Except one side doesn't have a salary cap to worry about.

I remember him winning a couple matches against a real lower guys. They had a couple guys, like Sharpe, who they usually had look a bit stronger than the average jobber.

I was very saddened to here about Rickman. He was a fantastic actor.
He was amazing as Snape. Having read the books, it was as if the character was written specifically for him. It was one of those performances that you can't imagine anyone else playing the part.
It's funny people mention Die Hard. I'm in Costa Rica right now and on the flight here the other day it was one of the movie options. He came to mind as soon as I saw it and it's been a long time since I saw it last so I had to watch. Glad I did. RIP Mr Rickman.

Totally ridiculous. Should have had a super deep, lengthy campaign mode. Even a basic story that just loosely connect the battles like the second version.
Yep, once I got it and got over the star wars novelty (which I do still enjoy tbf), I looked into it to see if there was anything else about it I would enjoy.
There should be but there's not.
One review I read summed it up perfectly: "I've never fallen in & out of love with a game this fast before."

I would assume most, if not all , teams have interest in Carter. I'd be more excited if the story was that he had interest in coming here.

There were other people who thought Waggoner was a good prospect, not just the Bombers. Duane Ford thought so (he's actually responsible for Waggoner getting his NI status) and Wally liked him enough (as an import) to put him on their neg list.
He had so little playing time last year that I wonder how anyone can actually say one way or another how good he'll end up being.

All-star selections are a joke at the best of times. John Scott is an All-Star Captain this year... that says it all right there.

The most noticeable thing for me would be how much the gameday experience has changed under Miller's watch. Even if some of it doesn't interest or affect me, I have still noticed the improvements.
Once the on-field product starts to catch up, it will a make for a great atmosphere.

Just saw online that New Japan did an angle where the Bullet Club turned on Styles this morning so that writes him out. And Kenny Omega pinned Nakamura (must have been non-title) which might indicate their plans for Kenny. The way I understand it, when Kenny lost the Junior title to KUSHIDA last year he was going to "move up" but they wanted to flip the belt back on to him for awhile. Now he lost the title back to KUSHIDA he might move up to either take the IC title or AJ's spot as the Bullet Club heavyweight contender.
Read something similar, good for Kenny!
QuoteThe Bullet Club turned on AJ Styles and Kenny Omega took control of the group. This was said to be Styles’ last appearance for NJPW.
As for Nakamura, Omega later defeated the current IWGP Intercontinental Champion in a tag team match, setting up a title shot for Omega down the line. If Nakamura is indeed heading to WWE, he needs to drop the title at some point, and Omega looks to be the ideal candidate for a title run since he is getting a pretty big push at the moment.

And just as I post that, the Wheat Kings Ivan Provorov ties it up with 7 seconds left to force OT!
**edit** The goal has now been credited to Svetkalov.

Great gold medal game going on right now between Russia & Finland. I was shocked that this wasn't the bronze medal game since the US & Sweden were on a roll while the Fins & Russians only looked slightly better than average.
Finland is less than a minute away from a come from behind victory that I don't think anyone saw coming.

The WJC is one of my favorite things about the holidays. All I can say about this edition is f**k Jake Virtanen. He should have stayed in Vancouver.

Washington might be gone soon too so he might as well take a generic number now and see what happens.
