  1. Bump Denmark is up against Dressler in round two. Hopefully the green bastards are too busy arguing about dead people to flood another online vote. http://poy.tsn.ca
  2. I do to a degree. When I bought my first Xbox 360 part of the decision making to get that over the PS3 was my friends all had Xbox's and we could play online. I played NHL a handful of times but enjoyed playing my own career mode offline. I played Call of Duty online a couple of times but getting into a game with strangers resulted in my immediate and repeated death by gamers who were far more skilled then I was. It just wasnt fun. I play games for my own personal enjoyment so the online aspect doesnt overly appeal to me. I liked playing with friends when it was two guys (or more) in the same room. Nothing more fun then playing Goldeneye with a group of buddies. Even this week, the gf and I fired up Super Mario Wii and played through the game for about the 5th time. Its still fun. So much this. Getting my ass handed to me by a 10 year old who talks more **** than Rickey Foley is not my idea of a good time. I don't have time to put in the endless hours of gaming that I used to so I'm not at a skill level where online gaming makes much sense for me. When I do have time to game (if it weren't for netflix, my ps3 would be covered in inches of dust), I'm mainly playing RPG's anyway, so thankfully most of them are not geared towards the multi-player online stuff.
  3. Matt Nichols named starter this morning.................. He clearly mental once Nichols leg collapses on itself and goltz chokes himself on a TD celebration.. Pretty sure Zontar wasn't actually guaranteeing that Reilly will play. I recall a certain troll that made numerous guarantees that Durant would play at the end of the regular season because "Flutie had the same injury".
  4. That part is incorrect. Judges can & do still hand out Conditional Sentences (house arrest) all the time. What the government did do is revise the criteria (like they did with pardons) to restrict those types of sentences to less serious crimes.
  5. There's still a lot of ball left to be played before the coach of the year gets decided. Unlike other awards, coach of the year is based on the entire year (not just regular season) and only once in the last 5 years has a coach won without winning the Grey Cup.
  6. In the terms of agreement it says basically you acknowledge that it is an irrevocable commitment & cannot be cancelled for any reason during the 3 years. Each year, in mid-December, you are given options to pay for the upcoming year. If you fail to pay, the club can cancel your season tickets &/or take legal action.
  7. It's not apples to apples when you're comparing BC season ticket holder prices ($360) to Winnipeg non-season ticket holder price ($499). If you want to make a fair comparison, you'd say season ticket holders in your section (roughly 50 yard line) are being charged $399 while BC season ticket holders in similar seats are being charged $315
  8. Highest price for a Grey Cup ticket in BC this year is $360. The $499 is a joke. Ticketmaster says otherwise. $440 for the high end tickets for this year.
  9. P1 seats have always been called Pinnacle Club seats at IGF and that goes back prior to Miller running the team. They are basically just removing the P1 part and moving that tag down to what is currently called P2.
  10. I usually don't either but unless he's 100% lying in this case, then a high-profile cabinet minister made public statements against the PST hike to a member of the media a long time ago. That being said, it's not like she held a press conference (like they have been doing lately) so in once sense I'm not suprised it wasn't mentioned before now but I'm still curious as to why Sinclair would have sat on that for so long. God knows he's not above stirring the pot.
  11. Many people would be correct. Such richness coming from these clowns. They trip over each other to distance themselves from the PST hike now but where were they a year ago? More to the point why did they continue to support these NDP budgets that put the province in the position of "needing" a tax hike. And why didnt they come out sooner and accuse Selinger of lying? And he absolutely lied. He campaigned on no tax increase. He deserves what he gets. These things can go either way. A party in peril changes leaders and just keeps going under. One can hope. Here's an article from Gordon Sinclair about how there was internal NDP dissent & anger over the PST 16 months ago. I'm curious as to why he hadn't mentioned anything about this prior to now. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/opinion/columnists/oswalds-stabbing-words-280887752.html?cx_navSource=d-tiles-4
  12. De ferk? Literally no clue what your going for here.. Maybe something to do with Robert Baker not coming to Winnipeg from Toronto years ago? I dunno, just a guess. Yup, Shake Severs was his rap name, he never showed up. Fixed your post
  13. He is here and has been practising since at least the end of September. How he's been doing or how close he is to seeing game time is another question. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/football/bombers/brohm-preps-for-blue-debut-275969671.html
  14. To me, who we pick depends on their NFL chances. We don't have the depth yet to be able to pick the best guy available and taking the chance we don't see them for a few years (if ever). We clearly need help on the offensive line so that's where I'd be looking 1st. If Groulx or Boyko get a chance down south, then I wouldn't mind seeing Demski here.
  15. People might be associating the two of them for the simple fact that Katz had no political experience and he was backed by the business community & Bowman has no political experience and is being backed by the business community. It has nothing to do with with the fact they both had a career. All of the candidates except maybe Judy, have had a career but they don't have the business connections that Bowman does so they don't get the comparison with Katz. Katz was more well known at the time he 1st ran for mayor and he still got elected...Bowman is much more of an unknown so while I don't necessarily agree with the comparison, I don't blame people for being leery of potentially going down the same path we just went down.
  16. Strange. I have Shaw as well and I was able to watch both the Ottawa/Hamilton game and the Jets game tonight. I haven't had to change my package or pay extra either.
  17. He might still love the city but Suber had previously tweeted something that implied he is not a fan of Etch. Someone had tweeted something about the Bomber D being to small to stop the run & he replied that it was the system not the personnel (or something to that effect).
  18. This. I have concerns about every candidate running so I'm still very much undecided. I want to like Bowman but some of the things he's said don't make me all that confident in him. His plan to finish all the legs of BRT is so unrealistic it's not even funny. His ideas to help revitalize downtown are mostly already underway or have been considered by city hall. TUP pretty well nailed Steeves so I don't have to comment on him. Judy has run the smartest campaign by mainly not saying anything which is also a draw back IMO. She's letting Bowman & Steeves drag themselves down but hasn't really given people a good reason to vote for her. I've been intrigued by some of the ideas from guys like Falcon-Ouellette & Sanders, but I just don't think they are high profile enough to take on the big 3.
  19. Agreed, 4 is the best version. I was seriously dissappointed by 5, I've got it tied with Revolution for PS3 as my least favorite version.
  20. I sometimes play Civ 4. I was a beta tester for the game and still have a soft spot for it. Civ 4 was the first civilization game I played since the first one and it was a lot of fun. I played a Civ for PC a while ago. Not sure how late it was but I think it was around 4 or 5. Pretty fun. If they had a CIV for android phones I'd probably get nothing done. This! My wife would kill me if she knew how much time I spent (and still do!) playing CIv. I'd probably be unemployed and divorced if they had Civ for Android.
  21. I grew up an Oilers fan (no bandwagon, I had a family member on the team). Loved the original Jets (unless they were playing Edmonton) too. Haven't gotten into the Jets 2.0 but I do follow them since they are the home team and we're bombarded with them in the media. Maybe one year they will give me a reason to cheer for them!
  22. The analysis GB posted did say this guy could line up at fullback so maybe he's not here to play on the D-line!
  23. You driven around The 'Peg lately? Roads are bad all over the country. A lot of it is simply to do with weather. Go to North Dakota or Minnesota, where they get the same weather, and see how nice their roads are compared to ours.
  24. The province also contributes to the city's infrastructure. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/local/Province-unveils-five-year-infrastructure-plan-248580601.html
