  1. Recap & salary details of the Bombers FA's. Vaughters - $160k Mitchell - $148k (with a 8k bonus if he ever hits his 2000 yards receiving goal! 😂) Jones - $120.5k Logan - $107.5k Patterson - $88k White - $85k Sterns - $90k Cobb, Gowanlock, Hagerty & Makonzo - between $80-85k each. https://3downnation.com/2025/02/19/what-the-winnipeg-blue-bombers-top-free-agents-got-paid-how-they-fit-into-the-roster/ Not according to the CFL site: https://www.cfl.ca/players/anthony-bennett/167925/ 2024-05-12 WPG DEL Free Agent 2025-02-18 MTL ADD Active Roster
  2. I wonder why nobody thought he was worth bringing in for a look last year? Even Faith Ekakitie was picked up (also by Montreal oddly enough) shortly after we cut him loose.
  3. Correct - PR salaries come out of the cap just like active roster salaries. Given the info here (https://cfldb.ca/faq/compensation/), the average is $108,250‬ per player based on 56 players.
  4. Yep. Wasn't really talking about Lewis as much as Hervey though. Hervey not wanting to pay $300k for a receiver is fine but airing that out publicly only to see the receiver in question sign with another team for closer to $200k, he just looks clueless. Maybe if he had actually talked to Lewis, he would have realized $300k wasn't on the table and he could have kept Lewis at a reasonable price. Instead they'll role with one or two legit receivers, a couple retreads and hope they uncover a stud.
  5. I think we can officially say the circus is back in Edmonton - Sideshow Ed is such a clown. https://3downnation.com/2025/02/15/dont-try-to-degrade-me-redblacks-eugene-lewis-fires-back-at-elks-gm-ed-hervey-following-free-agent-departure/
  6. It is no anomaly that the Riders suck - it's just a fact of life.
  7. Lawler is making more. It was reported that Ceresna signed for 225k (he had turned down 275k from Toronto).
  8. Not to pump his tires in anyway shape or form but Houston was only released because of his recent legal issues. I do agree though that both guys gained from the position they were playing, to some degree.
  9. Yep, she's from the area and continued to work there, even after he left the Elks so it's a much easier family life being in the same city.
  10. KJG & Gittens as the top 2 receivers with Odoms-Dukes chipping in and then hoping they can uncover someone? Definitely not their strongest position at the moment.
  11. To me, a lot of the signings (like Mitchell or White) are "might turn out well, might not". Vaughters should be an upgrade at DE too but he had a down year last year so we'll see.
  12. Tiger-Cats sign receiver Kenny Lawler to two-year deal - CFL.ca
  13. I think Walters may have set expectations higher than normal by saying they'd be more active this year. It hasn't really worked out that way - at least as far as big name FA's are concerned.
  14. Hamilton has Lawler jerseys for sale already so I'm assuming that it's a done deal and just hasn't been officially announced.
  15. They definitely did have issues for a long time over the Dr. Evil thing but yes they resolved that a few years ago after working together on a SuperBowl ad in 2021. https://www.audacy.com/national/music/dana-carvey-explains-strained-friendship-with-mike-myers
  16. I don't care what team you root for, but if you haven't mocked Fajardo at some point in his career, you're not a real fan! 😂
  17. Consistently bad seems to be the game plan.
  18. Winnipeg isn't the only team to come into new money though. The other teams also have this extra money so why wouldn't they be willing to up their offers also?
  19. I'm aware but he actually caught less than that. He was only targeted 21 times when he did play (about twice a game). When healthy, he was not a primary target in their offense.

  22. If he stays in Hamilton, he's probably behind Woli on the depth chart. BOLO started 9 games last year on a team that loved to chuck the ball and he still only saw 21 passes go his way so he wasn't a main target for them anyway.
