  1. We were interested in him before and after he stepped away from the game to work on his issues so it doesn't seem like the team is put off by it. I think it's a good sign that he was aware enough to decline offers last year, knowing he wasn't in the right mind set to be playing. Still something he (and the team) need to be mindful of, but if he feels he's ready to play again, I think he's worth taking a look at.
  2. Reminds me of an old Ken Shamrock fight where he starts going down before the punch lands.
  3. It's BC - Farhan has activated the cone of silence.
  4. 4 currently (Nairn by Shapes, Regent by Fat Burger, KP food court & Reenders by Famous Daves) - the 5th was inside Home Depot but it's gone (google maps still shows it though). The one on Concordia could be the 5th as it's less than 5 minutes away from the one on Reenders.
  5. Yeah and he did not want to leave. On IG today, he acknowledged his time with the team was done but he still can't say goodbye, Winnipeg means too much to him, so it's see you later. Love that guy. 😞
  6. We didn't develop January either, he just spent the most time with us (much like Neufeld has). January started 28 games between Sask & Toronto before we got him.
  7. Mekhi Tyrell - he played a few games for the Edmonton Wildcats team last year. 3 games, 5 receptions for 140 yards & 1 TD. 8 kick returns for 164 yards. Not sure if he got hurt or what but he only played in 3 of the first 4 games and then nothing. **Edit** The Elks had added him as a territorial exemption in August but he was removed from their list in November.
  8. Definitely a timing thing. Was not going to be playing ahead of those guys (barring injury) so it's unfortunate for us but that's how it goes.
  9. With him and Chris Edwards both retiring, that's a big financial hit for the league. The money the league collected in fines from those two has probably paid for Ambrosie's salary the last few years. 😂
  10. Only one person suggested there's possible an attitude issue - it's not people pushing a narrative. Who suggested it's on Rhymes? Pointing out he turned down a restructured deal isn't the same as putting the blame on him, especially when the team went and released 2 more starters after that. That's 100% on the team for not managing their cap properly.
  11. You sure about that? Sounds like they wanted him to take a cut, he said no so he was sent packing. https://theprovince.com/sports/no-room-for-rhymes-b-c-lions-release-mr-headtop
  12. Goodell himself openly talked about the idea of a 4 team European division. He said he believed London could support 2 franchises so if you did that with Berlin and Madrid, there's your 4 teams. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-floats-wild-idea-of-possibly-putting-four-teams-in-europe-as-part-of-major-international-expansion/
  13. Got some scrub, not sure if knows anything about ST but I'm sure he'll learn. I think his name is Mike Miller or something.
  14. If you're counting Rhymes, who was released, you should also be counting Baron and Mauger. That's 5 starters gone from last year.
  15. Since someone wants to take a sTROLL down memory lane.
  16. They'll look like a bunch of Young Sheldon's over there.... they can probably skip straight to university.
  17. He played 7 games as rookie in 2021 so it wasn't just a practice roster deal that they extended. Neither Holm or Parker played a game in 2021 so there's the difference.
  18. Ruby back with Ottawa 2 weeks after they cut him to avoid paying a bonus... I really hope they put another off-season bonus in the new deal. Some people don't learn. 😂
  19. Walker signed a new deal at the end of December 2021 (after his 1st season with us) so he was not on his rookie deal.
  20. Looks that way. Have you seen the amount of ads on that page lately? They also decided to do another article on Boomer Esiason a couple days ago (their 2nd this month) on his comments from 2021. I would say they are very desperate right now for both content and clicks.
  21. Very possible. He tried sueing the WWE over head trauma about 10 years ago. His wife was also apparently dealing with some serious health issues (dementia and Alzheimer's) so I've seen some speculation that may have played a role in what happened.
  22. Is it really a great trade if it never happened? Walby was on the d-line with Montreal but they released him as a paperwork type of move and we swooped in & signed him.
