You're missing out. There is some mighty fine story telling in video games these days...

    Last of Us

    Last of Us 2

    God Of War

    God of war Ragnarock

    Red Dead Redemption 2

    Ghost of Tsushima

    Mass Effect Series

Pick up a PS5 and substitute one or two of your least favourite shows with a game or two.

Yep, these are my kind of games, the ones with the great stories. Haven't touched GOW (yet) but can vouch for the rest of em!

    this is probably fair.......

The wife and I watch all 3 Law and Order's, Young Sheldon and Young Rock on network TV (she watches Days Of Our Lives....sigh...). We (or I) stream Succession, Barry, Ted Lasso, Shrinking, Poker Face, Righteous Gemstones and Winning Time when they're "in season". The trouble is fitting them around sports...especially hockey season when there's seemingly a game every night (either Oilers or Jets). But we make it work...

We definitely don't have that many shows on the go but then my wife is often busy with other stuff and I can easily lose hours (days?) gaming... perks of being a dink!   😂

Undersized is relative. For guys like Montford and walls length and explosive power and quickness played larger than life. Another 5–10 lean lbs would be an asset no doubt. But being tall and 245+ isn’t as important Imo. Especially if you rotate dl.

we signed another nose tackle today so I’m guessing it’s true that obg isn’t reporting. Caleb thomas is even more athletic though and with a better pedigree. Hopefully he can be a stud.

OBG was signed to BC prior to 2021 but never came up to Canada, maybe a bit of a pattern for this guy?

There are 110 players on this list. Some will have to be released prior to camp. IIRC teams can only have 75 plus non counters in camp. I am not even sure how we can have 110 right now since the offseason limit for players under contract is 85? We must have a bunch of guys listed and in rookie camp that haven't been actually signed to a contract yet.

We don't have to be down to 85 (excluding non-counters) until Saturday at noon.

    From the CFL:

May 10 – Rookie Camp opens

    • First-year players take the field with their new clubs

May 13 – Rosters reduced to 85 players

    • Cutdowns to take place by 11:59 p.m. ET, excluding non-counters
    • May 14 – Training camps open

    • Official opening of camps for all nine clubs
    • May 16 – Rosters reduced to 75 players

    • Cutdowns to take place by 11:59 p.m. ET, excluding non-counters

Interesting...... more than a few of us were clamouring for him at FA time....

He was just doing interviews a couple ago about how he was happy to be in Calgary but upset about how Montreal handled his release.  Wonder what changed so quickly?

To be fair- the Democrats **** the bed on that guy. They could have buried him before the election if they did ANY oppo research.

I'd wager that Republicans voters would not give a ****.  If Santos was still on the ballot, they'd still vote for him regardless of what was discovered pre-election.

Is this not the same team we drafted Simonise from?

I don't know if drafting him FROM the Sun is the right way to phrase it.  They were one of many stops he's had before coming to the CFL.  To say he hasn't had the most traditional career path would be a bit of an understatement:

2013-2015 Usports (Calgary Dinos) *ruled academically ineligible for senior year*

    2016 - CIF (Chicago Eagles)

2016 - NFL (Cincinnati Bengals) *tests positive for PEDS and gets cut*

    2016-2017 - CJFL (Okanagan Sun)

    2018 - AFL (Baltimore Brigade)

2018 - Bombers draft him in the 2nd round.

My first thought was that they're giving him a shot out of respect for his service. That said, as a win now team, if a player can contribute something, the age doesn't matter. We'll see if it becomes anything.

As for MOSjr, it is a little awkward. No matter what, he's a back of roster STer. The kind of guy that people talk about like, "Why is this guy on the roster instead of player x, y, or z?" It just sets up a bad narrative. But, at the same time, the Bombers, more than any other team, recruit guys solely to play ST. Even to the extent of hurting other position groups to keep guys they like on ST. So, if he had a different name, would we have given him the shot anyway? Hard to blame the kid in that scenario.

Did a bit of reading on him and whatever the Bombers reasoning is, he sure seems like a FIFO-type of guy.

“You wish you could have a guy like Damian Jackson with you forever,” coach Maurice Linguist said.

“You probably don’t have the vocabulary and the words to express really how much of a great example he is to what it should look like, and who you should be,” he added. “He’s got the great balance of humility and confidence because he prepares and trains the right way. He’s one of the hardest-working guys I’ve ever been around and one of the most selfless.”

I believe he doesn't cost us a training camp roster spot.

Possibly.  According to the CBA, MOSJ would fall under the 4th category of non-counters but those are limited to 2 players so it really depends on who else (if anyone) the team brings in.

    Non-counters:

    1) Players selected in the current year Canadian and Global Draft.

    2) Players selected in a previous year’s Canadian Draft by the Member Club that have never attended a professional training camp in Canada or elsewhere.

    3) Junior players not under contract.

    4) Two additional undrafted National Players comprised of either: (A) A Player who was eligible for the current or the previous years’ C.F.L. Draft, or (B) A C.J.F.L. Player whose junior eligibility had terminated in the previous C.J.F.L. season.

    5) A National quarterback who is playing and participating in training camp at the quarterback position.
