Yep, I was in Halifax for the first time this summer. Wasn't there for long and they had massive flooding a couple days before I got there so it wasn't the best timing but I'm really looking forward to going back.

I have been but I'm pretty much the same now. I've seen what I wanted (Vegas, Disney, Universal etc) but I'm not sure I'll ever go again. So many more places I would prefer to see and spend my time/money in.

They've drafted 6 OL in the 4 drafts that O'Day been GM for so it's not that they aren't drafting them, it's that they usually wait until round 6 to pick them & end up with bottom of the barrel guys. They've done a terrible job of managing/strengthening such a key aspect of the team. That's backed-up by the fact that they've only managed to get 13 games in total out of those 6 picks (all from Logan Bandy). They do have a couple picks in the pipeline (Zack Fry on the PR and Evan Floren in school) but time will tell if they are of any use to the team or not.

Aside from that, it would also mean those players finish the season on the PR, making them free agents. Not a good strategy for any players the team may want back next season.

Yup, for the same reason they couldn't get an OC last off-season. Even if he survives, he's still a dead man walking so why would a decent coach want to jump in that tire fire? The next GM will want their own pick as HC too so whoever is HC next year, may not be there long.

Yeah, given what Lawler has done in the past and is doing this year, his goal of 2k was not completely unrealistic (high bar for sure though). Mitchell, on the other hand, had not and is not doing anything to justify that target, Lawler has played 7 games less than Mitchell and is a couple hundred yards ahead of him (Lawler is averaging about 75 yards a game while Mitchell is around 31).

One game to go for the L's and Dillon Mitchell is a mere 1475 yards from his 2k goal. Call me a pessimist if you will but I just don't think he's gonna get there.

Yes, just think of how much money they are saving on dental care. They can easily afford to travel with that kind of cash! Although it's been on the downswing the last few years, you'd be amazed at how many Rider shirts/hats you'll see when travelling. I don't blame them for it though... if I lived there, I'd want to get away as much as possible too.
