  1. Encouraged/condoned by the coaches.
  2. He's just going to wait for him in the parking lot or the Stamps locker room. It's the BC way.
  3. Maybe that's why they had him line up at receiver? If he's on that Nik Lewis diet, they might as well get him used to that role!
  4. Yup, for the same reason they couldn't get an OC last off-season. Even if he survives, he's still a dead man walking so why would a decent coach want to jump in that tire fire? The next GM will want their own pick as HC too so whoever is HC next year, may not be there long.
  5. Yeah, given what Lawler has done in the past and is doing this year, his goal of 2k was not completely unrealistic (high bar for sure though). Mitchell, on the other hand, had not and is not doing anything to justify that target, Lawler has played 7 games less than Mitchell and is a couple hundred yards ahead of him (Lawler is averaging about 75 yards a game while Mitchell is around 31).
  6. One game to go for the L's and Dillon Mitchell is a mere 1475 yards from his 2k goal. Call me a pessimist if you will but I just don't think he's gonna get there.
  7. False, he was never cut. He was a free agent at the end of the 2017 season. The delay in coming back before the next season was due to him "exhausting all NFL opportunities". 😂
  8. Yes, just think of how much money they are saving on dental care. They can easily afford to travel with that kind of cash! Although it's been on the downswing the last few years, you'd be amazed at how many Rider shirts/hats you'll see when travelling. I don't blame them for it though... if I lived there, I'd want to get away as much as possible too.
  9. Hopefully not this dimwit! https://www.vice.com/en/article/zmk75e/ufc-fighter-bryce-mitchell-ripped-his-nutsack-to-shreds-with-a-drill
  10. That's how things are usually run there so kudos to him for sticking to his plan I guess?
  11. If it ain't (completely) broke, don't fix it. Oliveira.
  12. "Dickenson told the media during his postgame Zoom availability he would like to take his football team bowling." https://leaderpost.com/sports/football/cfl/saskatchewan-roughriders/sports-col-davis-riders-lose-to-calgary-oct-13
  13. Unfortunately for Calgary, they play BC and then the Bombers. BC needs to win to have a shot at hosting the WF so they are going to play hard. We may or may not have something to play for by that point so it might come down to that game. The four stripes play Toronto so who knows what kind of team they're going to field. I would still pick them over the Riders regardless though.
  14. Yup. Dave Dickenson has never missed the playoffs with the Stamps as a player or coach but that streak is very much in jeopardy.
  15. Missed the edit and sarcasm. 😂
  16. Knew that was a risk, especially making my pick so early. Let's go with Keon Hatcher.
  17. Yep, don't have to look much further than Bobby Dyce for a current example. His many years a positional coach and coordinator has not translated to much success as HC (as of yet anyhow). No argument there but thanks for ruining my Friday by reminding me of the Burke era... I try to completely block that from memory! 😂
  18. If the talent/ability is there, why not? Dinwiddie went from QB coach with Calgary to HC in Toronto. He never even spent time as a coordinator (at least in name) and is doing just fine. Another current example would be Jason Maas - 3 years as a positional coach with Toronto, OC for 1 year with Ottawa before becoming HC in Edmonton. Mace is now in year 7 as a coach so he has almost double the experience Maas had before getting a shot.
  19. He's also 7ft tall and kills men by the hundreds! We're very fortunate to have him playing for us and not against us.
  20. I don't disagree that he should be in the conversation but anointing him as the front runner is a bit of a stretch. There's a case to be made for all MOP contenders and it's not limited to Adams, Kelly & Collaros either. Brady should be in that conversation as well.
