Should have deleted them for sure, but in fairness to Ballsy these tweets are 3 years old and he is right. In 2019, Harris was easily the most over rated QB in the CFL. In 2023, I don't think many people regard him as a top calibre QB anymore. In 2019 people were talking him up as the MOP even though his red zone % and win % were awful.

VAJ was also getting MOP talk that year so bad takes were not limited to Harris by any means.    The fact that Fajardo got the West nomination shows what kind of sh***y year it was across the league... thankfully the playoffs corrected that and all ended as it should have!

I was just going through Trevor Harris's game logs from last year. Scary bad against the Western teams except the Riders. The guy averaged less than 200 yards per game and threw less than a TD per game with a very pedestrian QB rating of 89.4. He feasted and got his passing stats off of mainly Ottawa and Hamilton. Now that he gets far more games against the West his numbers are going to tumble. Especially since he doesn't have nearly as good an OL or receiving corps this year. I know that a lot of Rider fans are excited about getting him but really his numbers don't show him being any better than Fajardo was last year against the West and Fajardo at least had somewhat of an excuse.

This is going to be another fun season of watching the tire fire next door.

Weston echoed that sentiment, insisting that higher profits at Loblaws are mostly due to higher sales in non-food items, such as discretionary spending at Shoppers Drug Mart, its Joe Fresh clothing line and its financial services arm.

Totally believable.... when I saw my last grocery bill, my immediate reaction was to go stock up on the latest Joe Fresh gear!  Who needs money for essentials like food?  🙄

    Bombers just signed this guy:

Sounds like a potential replacement for Sayles, who can move around.

"NFL.com rated South Carolina’s Aaron Sterling as one of the top undrafted players coming from the 2022 draft class. Despite being 6’2 250, Sterling played multiple positions in college all over the defensive format at DT, LB, and DE. That type of versatility could be an asset for D.C.".

If they were smart he would be. He will be by mid season.

Yep, VAJ has been beaten out for the starters role before so maybe Dane was betting it'll happen again.  His new deal has some playtime bonuses so if it happens, Dane will make up some of the money he lost from his original contract.  Less pressure on the back-up as well so it could be a good situation for him.

I think he honestly wants to be at home. His wife is a big deal at Marvel in their movies division, so they don't need money. He just wants to be with his family at this point.

Yep, I can't find the tweet at the moment but one of the CFL reporters had mentioned the last year was tough on his family so it's something they've been dealing with for a while.

Year's ago, I'd never say "This Tom Brodbeck column is a must read", but he has seemed to have gained his senses now that he's out of the Sun bubble.

It's funny how things change, depending on who's signing the paycheck.

Damn that Brodbeck for becoming a left-wing radical.

Charles Adler is another one who has done a sharp left turn over the years.

He didn't impress with the bombers. At least not enough to give him a chance. The point im making is that we gave up on all these kickers only to have them excel on other teams.  Let's not make the same mistake again.

We have no idea what the club thought of him but there was zero chance they were going to cut Palardy in favour of a rookie.

Palardy was coming off a club record breaking season in 2010 (a record he would match in 2012) so it was the right move at the time.  Nobody, Calgary included, knew how Paredes would turn out.

The CIS career leader in FG%.... and again this fan base wants immediate results and not letting a kid grow. This is how we end up with great kickers who started with us and ended up on other teams.

Don't recall Parades needing this much time to grow.  We had him but as a rookie, he wasn't going to unseat Palardy, who was setting franchise records with us.  He goes to Calgary after we cut him, and the rest is history.

TBF to Leggs, Parades wasn't being asked to do all 3 kicking roles so that's on our coaches for maybe asking too much from a young kicker.
