  1. I'll see if I can find individual team breakdowns but on the whole, 2024 league attendance was 0.6% lower than 2019 (his 2nd full season as commissioner) so it's fairly close to the same. For sure, I mean Edmonton had a bigger drop in gate revenue than they did in attendance so it looks like they gave away more tickets than before just to get butts in the seats. Every team does this though, so all those numbers need to be taken with a grain of salt.
  2. You sure about that? The CFL had it's best year since the pandemic so in terms of attendance from last year to this year, here's what each team did. You can tell which teams have been successful on the field and which have not over the last few seasons. BC - up 15.8% Edmonton - down 17.3% Calgary - down 0.7% Saskatchewan - up 0.1% Winnipeg - up 2.5% Toronto - up 5.7% Ottawa - up 0.1% Hamilton - down 3.8% Montreal - up 20% https://3downnation.com/2024/10/28/cfl-regular-season-attendance-grows-1-percent-from-2023-to-2024/
  3. After his involvement with the Chad Kelly incident, I can't see the BOG wanting Pinball as the face of the league. I certainly don't.
  4. Maybe they prefer sheep?
  5. The fact they had that playing on the screens at Mosaic is fantastic.
  6. Completely flat in the first half and doesn't look like it's going to change in the 2nd half, at least on defense. Offense needs to change that.
  7. Christmas came early for @SpeedFlex27
  8. I still expect similar game time management as last week for them. They want the confidence but they don't want to get needlessly banged up either - they already lost the starting RT last week and his replacement is a GTD so they don't want to add to that list.
  9. Lineup notes: The Alouettes will be making a handful of changes ahead of this game. They’ll be welcoming Austin Mack, Walter Fletcher, Brock Gowanlock and Theo Grant back in the lineup. Receiver Tyjon Lindsey will be making his Alouettes debut. He’ll be handling return duties with James Letcher Jr. sitting out this week. Josh Donovan, who appeared to suffer a lower-body injury in last Saturday’s game against the B.C. Lions, won’t be in the lineup. He’s been placed on the one-game injured list. Defensive end Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund is also out. Heading into this final game of the season, Adeyemi-Berglund leads the team in quarterback sacks, with seven. Star defensive tackle Mustafa Johnson will miss his third straight game. He’s second on the team in sacks, with three. Offensive tackle Jamar McGloster, who replaced Donovan in B.C., is considered a game-time decision for this game. The veteran was the starter at right tackle in the second half of last season and the Grey Cup, but he’s been limited to one game due to a back injury. https://en.montrealalouettes.com/2024/10/25/preview-wpg-at-mtl-week-21/

  11. We've had that option all season in Devin Adams. I was hoping we'd get to see him boot one in a game at some point (especially given how uninspiring our punting has been this year). https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/2024/06/20/adams-brings-formidable-talents-to-first-cfl-start
  12. Grainger & Wright coming back while Toles is new to the team. https://www.bluebombers.com/2024/10/22/blue-bombers-sign-three-to-futures-contracts/
  13. I mean isn't that what Farhan is for?
  14. He took over as GM in 2008 - they won the cup that year. They finished in 2nd in 2005 & 2006 before dropping a spot in 2007. He didn't exactly inherit a tire fire. You'd have to go back a few years earlier to the Kevin Feterik days to the last time they were a real mess.
  15. Sounds like the Bombers before Wade took over. Going to take a while to rebuild that team.
  16. False. Pittsburgh only played here about once a season but he managed to play 9 games here during his career. That's a good rate considering his health issues (and one season shortened due to a lockout) before the Jets left.
  17. It still feels weird seeing the Stamps this bad. Looks good on Dickie though.

  19. Source? National Post in August had Nova Scotia 1st and BC second, with Manitoba in 3rd. Their data show that yes it is a problem here but it is also absolutely happening in many places. We are one of 4 provinces to have an increase of 70% or more over the last 2 years. Incidents per 100,000 people: Nova Scotia: 676.97 - 2022 had an increase of 115% while 2023 was up 17% (232% increase from 2021) BC: 568 (2022 was up 18% & 2023 was up 12%) (30% increase from 2021) MB: 542 (2022 rate was up 37% & 2023 was up 37%) (74% increase from 2021) AB: 483.57 (No data provided for 2022 but 2023 was down 5%) SK: 446.61 (2022 was up 42%, 2023 was up 28%) (70% increase from 2021) NFL: 421 (2022 was up 55%, 2023 was up 0.74%) (56% increase from 2021) ON: 395 (2022 was up 41%, 2023 was up 30%) (71% increase from 2021) NB: 226 (2022 was up 16%, 2023 was up 3%) (19% increase from 2021) PEI: 191 (2022 was down 0.85%, 2023 was up 36%) (35% increase from 2021) QC: 155.19 (2022 was up 27%, 2023 was up 21.5%) (48.5% increase from 2021) https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/shoplifting-canada
  20. Maybe Kelly went the whole entire week without harassing a woman & they felt like that was a huge accomplishment for him?
  21. 100 page thread about roster management incoming!
  22. It's what fans do. If it wasn't officiating it would be something else. As was mentioned earlier, the last memory of this game was a controversial call so that stands out and ends up being the main talking point. If that one play wasn't as close as it was, I don't think we'd be talking about it this much. We'd be talking about Buck's play calling or our o-line play ( both of which were getting roasted during this game). There's never a shortage of complaints to be made.
  23. Disagree. We were just on an 8 game win streak but you're delusional if think there wasn't any complaining about officiating during that time. Go back and read some GDT's and you'll see it happens win or lose. If you are expecting objectivity from fan boards, that's your mistake.
  24. **deletes Simpsons gif as it's even older than TPB**
