  1. VAJ was also getting MOP talk that year so bad takes were not limited to Harris by any means. The fact that Fajardo got the West nomination shows what kind of sh***y year it was across the league... thankfully the playoffs corrected that and all ended as it should have!
  2. Not a former Bomber but a former Bison.
  3. This is going to be another fun season of watching the tire fire next door.
  4. Appears to be asking a guy they just signed to take a pay cut. Fits with his M.O. after the Milanovic-Litre situation.
  5. Looks like Chris Jones is doing Chris Jones things again.

  7. Yup. Totally believable.... when I saw my last grocery bill, my immediate reaction was to go stock up on the latest Joe Fresh gear! Who needs money for essentials like food? 🙄
  8. I'd love to hear these people properly pronounce Lagimodiere. There's a reason why most people simply call it Lag and the new street names will be no different.
  9. Sounds like a potential replacement for Sayles, who can move around. "NFL.com rated South Carolina’s Aaron Sterling as one of the top undrafted players coming from the 2022 draft class. Despite being 6’2 250, Sterling played multiple positions in college all over the defensive format at DT, LB, and DE. That type of versatility could be an asset for D.C.". https://xflnewshub.com/xfl-news/xfl-2023-a-deep-dive-into-the-d-c-defenders-defense-and-supplemental-draft-options/
  10. I like the acquisition of Ekholm but at that price... 😬
  11. Yep, VAJ has been beaten out for the starters role before so maybe Dane was betting it'll happen again. His new deal has some playtime bonuses so if it happens, Dane will make up some of the money he lost from his original contract. Less pressure on the back-up as well so it could be a good situation for him.
  12. Evans is not going to be QB1 in BC though. Toronto was absolutley the only team left where he would come in as the starter. He seems fine with the back-up role since he was willing to take a new deal in BC that pays him accordingly.
  13. Yep, I can't find the tweet at the moment but one of the CFL reporters had mentioned the last year was tough on his family so it's something they've been dealing with for a while.
  14. I live near his hangout spot... he's out there almost every day. He has 4 at least different signs that he rotates through. I'm still wating for this one though:
  15. It's funny how things change, depending on who's signing the paycheck. Charles Adler is another one who has done a sharp left turn over the years.
  16. We have no idea what the club thought of him but there was zero chance they were going to cut Palardy in favour of a rookie. Palardy was coming off a club record breaking season in 2010 (a record he would match in 2012) so it was the right move at the time. Nobody, Calgary included, knew how Paredes would turn out.

  18. Don't recall Parades needing this much time to grow. We had him but as a rookie, he wasn't going to unseat Palardy, who was setting franchise records with us. He goes to Calgary after we cut him, and the rest is history. TBF to Leggs, Parades wasn't being asked to do all 3 kicking roles so that's on our coaches for maybe asking too much from a young kicker.
  19. People were bickering and that's his schtick so he started agreeing with people. Always has to go against the grain!
  20. Sometime I wish we had more reactions to choose from... a simple thumbs up or Go Bombers doesn't cut it. I absolutely love these quotes from and about Sheed. Is it June yet?
  21. Yeah just meant more in terms of being a primary target because if we stay healthy, he might not see the ball a lot. Ellingson missed half the season so it wasn't too much of an issue last year.
  22. Yep. the latest quote from Sheed is just as good: I'm so f**king happy for this signing. I don't know where he fits in wth our receiving core looking the way it does but I'm so glad he's back.
  23. Even more recent than the territory days, he was still an important figure since he, along with Jeff and others, started what is now Impact Wrestling. At the time, TNA was really the only option in North America for top wrestlers (besides the WWE) since WCW had been sold and ECW had folded.
