  1. Noticed the same. Seems like it's gone downhill since Adidas stopped making the gear.
  2. We are definitely paying more this year than we paid in 2019 but we bought early this year instead of waiting. We have a decent size group that we wanted to sit with so the concern was not being able to get tickets all together if we waited until the last minute.
  3. Yup. Popped into the Bomber store last night and that was the sentiment for a lot of people there.
  4. The injury was mentioned a couple days ago in the media but not confirmed. https://torontosun.com/sports/football/cfl/toronto-argonauts/argonauts-come-up-big-when-needed-to-topple-als-and-earn-berth-in-grey-cup-game "McManis said he felt good going into the East final and was convinced he would regain his all-star form. But the feel-good story ended abruptly in the opening half when McManis left the game with a suspected torn bicep and is questionable for the Grey Cup game."
  5. Yup but he had those things in Calgary too and he wasn't exactly lighting it up.
  6. If they were getting prime BLM, then absolutely. They aren't though. He's not what he once was so what he did for Calgary wouldn't be the same for Hamilton.

  8. This is the answer here. Park somewhere near the closest route to you and take the shuttle to the stadium. https://www.greycupfestival.ca/transportation/
  9. I've been happy with what he has done for us this year but realistically what other options would be out there for him, if he stays in the CFL? He's not going to be a starter on any team, even the Riders so he's stuck in a back-up role. Maybe someone will give him a shot at the #2 position but he saw the field more as QB3 here than he would as QB2. If you're stuck in a back-up role, would you not want it to be on the best team in the league?
  10. Agreed. They are going to have to make room somewhere, especially if Rourke is back & gets the pay bump he deserves.
  11. Just pointing out that they didn't have anywhere near 300k just kicking around. They got the IR savings you talked about but still had to maneuver to make the deal happen. They loaded up on non-QB's during FA and left themselves very little wiggle room. Some GM's are just better at it than others. We added Collaros during the season with out issue. Walters always seems to have that cap space tucked away. They do have VAJ under contract through 2023 so they aren't completely hooped if they lose Rourke to the NFL. He's obviously not their preferred QB but given the other options out there, he's not the worst they could be stuck with.
  12. They didnt have that 300k this year. They had to re-work the remaining VAJ contract to fit under the cap. That's with Montreal picking up the early portion of his deal, Woody Baron only playing 6 games and Stove missing the entire year.
  13. He is Derek Taylor's replacement as the Riders radio guy. I hope he has a long career so we're treated to more gems like this.
  14. Somebody go check on that Ballsy dude... he was sure BLM was going to lead the Riders rebuild.
  15. Heading out Friday (hopefully in time to catch some of TD MB) but will be hitting up Bomber House on Saturday. LFG!!!
  16. Based on their results, none of them would even crack the top 20 in the MBB Pick Em contest. Every year they are consistently bad at picking winners (especially Nye).

  18. Just because the fan base is confident doesn't mean the players are taking things lightly. I can't see an MOS led team ever doing this. They keep the same mentality every game - the goal is to be 1-0 this week, what happened earlier doesn't matter.
  19. If that's the GC match up, who do the Gappers in attendance pull for? The Bombers or Harris who's been public enemy #1 there for a number of years?
  20. He certainly enjoys playing Hamilton in the playoffs.
  21. Carey got worse with each game against us this year. 110 yards the 1st game, 92 yards the next and 62 yards in the last game. If we contain him the way we did in the last game, it's not going to be an issue.
  22. They did... It's only one half of the group and a couple other random guys I've never heard of.
  23. Not sure if it's been mentioned but this is now playing in Winnipeg (Grant Park & Polo Park).
  24. And (iirc) a thank you to Bob Young for helping keep the league afloat during the pandemic.
  25. Players absolutely care. It's not just a pride thing either, some players have all-star clauses in their contract so this stuff affects their finances as well.
