  1. The fact that it happened after the game should also be a factor in the punishment, IMO. During the game, in the heat of the moment is one thing, but biding your time and waiting until the game is done and his helmet is off? One game is not enough.
  2. Haven't seen the punch itself but it must have been a good one, based on how Lucky was stumbling around after being helped up in this video (just after the 45 second mark): https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/video/~2524160
  3. Would not be surprised. Ranthony was in camp with us last year so the team was already familiar with him.
  4. Sounds like he was.

  6. That's a whole different topic. You asked why some people would want/need to hide their names and I gave you an example.
  7. LEO's are definitely targets for criminals and keeping their identities somewhat private is understandable. You'd be amazed at how stupid/brazen some people can be if they get a hold of that information. My dad was a CO at Stoney before he retired and at least a couple of his co-workers had people show up at their house and "recommend" they help get stuff into the prison. It didn't go the way they hoped but still scary to think that these people had the nerve to show up to where these guys and their families lived. Going to (or back to) prison isn't a deterrent for some people so what do they have to lose?
  8. Hamilton has Stanford Samuels III listed... Should be a territorial pick for us, IMO.
  9. Nope. The L's have now tied the Ottawa Rough Riders for most consecutive home losses in league history.
  10. "All non-essential government services and offices will be closed for the day."
  11. Couple of tweets I saw about his play. He ended up grading out as the 4th best defensive player for the Falcons.
  12. They gave up more points so we still have the biggest margin of victory.
  13. Every year around this time, there's an outbreak of Blue Flu in Regina.
  14. Great article on Alford. I feel like this is just one of many more to come. https://www.si.com/nfl/falcons/news/atlanta-dee-alford-tusculum-cfl-winnipeg-blue-bombers-jerry-odom-jim-goldsmith-new-orleans-saints
  15. The name doesn't have the best track record. Charles I was executed and Charles II (his son) was possibly poisoned to death... not really all that surprising nobody wanted to follow in those footsteps. Charles II had no legitimate children so there was nobody to follow him anyway. The crown went to his younger brother, James II, who was then deposed. There has never been another King James since then either. Interesting side note - when William eventually takes the throne, he will be the 1st direct descendant of Charles II to sit on the throne since Princess Diana has blood ties to two of Charles illegitimate kids.
  16. It's official.
  17. You might even say he was a Genius!
  18. LOL I've been a fan of Punk since before the Bucks even made a name for themselves, it's not a "sides" thing for me. There's lots of blame to go around on this one - nobody handled this very well but Punk is the one who made things physical, something neither side seems to dispute. Cody's leaving has nothing to do with this situation... why would I bring it up? Cody, along with many others, have had issues with Punk as well, why didn't you mention that? Because it's not relevant. Punk's track record is way sketchier than the Bucks, so I'm not sure you want to use that as an argument. We may never know the full story but as of now there are two sides that have been leaked, Punk leaked his first, and now the Elite have leaked their side. Sounds like enough neutral parties saw how it happened so I wouldn't be surprised if we get the 3rd (and probably more accurate) version of the story.
  19. Nah this is mostly on Punk. He decided to shoot on Page, the Bucks (and presumably Kenny), believing they were leaking info to the media. He says come talk face to face, the Bucks oblige and all hell breaks loose. Punk starts throwing hands (not impressive if you watched his UFC "fights"), while his buddy throws a chair & goes back to grade school fighting style with hair pulling and biting. The stuff Punk was mad about (his issues with Colt Cabana) has been public knowledge for years so his reasoning is pretty flawed. It was also very selective since other people (MJF for instance) have commented on the situation but he didn't go after them. That's not to say the other guys don't have any blame to share. Apparently a lot of people saw the brawl go down so if it was 100% a Punk thing, the others wouldn't have been suspended. It'll be interesting to hear the full story when it eventually leaks out.
  20. We had about 10 of us in total, some drove out Friday night after work and some left Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon, we went to the Festival at Stampede Park for a bit before heading Bomber House. Was hoping for another Bob Cameron planking demo since we missed the one on Friday but no such luck - still had a blast even though it was crazy packed and you could barely move. Took the C-train to the game and I don't ever remember being that nervous before - certainly not for a sporting event. I think I had one beer the entire game and I couldn't take my eyes off the field for a second. I distinctly remember watching Harris pre-game and seeing how fired up he was. I need to re-watch the game because it's a bit of blur now except for how I felt and the Hansen hit (I can still hear that sound, clear as day) . The nerves didn't leave until the 4th quarter - only to be replaced by disbelief. Was this really happening after 29 years, and I'm here to see it live? I definitely shed a few tears when the game ended and we stuck around to celebrate with the other Bomber fans & players. Sheed was still out there well after the rest of the team went to the locker room and we were yelling at him to go celebrate with the boys. We went to some random pub to meet up with the rest of our group & get some food and drinks. It still felt (and still does to an extent) surreal and we couldn't believe the streak was over. Best road trip I've ever taken.
  21. Maybe to handle returns since Grant is still out? Holm was OK in the fact that he didn't go backwards or fumble the ball but he didn't seem like much of a threat.
