  1. Happens in government too... I know more than a few people who have retired, only to be rehired as a "consultant" for more money & less hours.
  2. Unless he had a third career going, I'm not sure how accurate that is. He had a long career with the WPS that he retired from a couple years ago, just in time for Covid to hit. https://www.cfl.ca/2020/04/12/oleary-cfl-ref-al-bradbury-wife-martha-share-covid-19-experience/
  3. I'd be more impressed if he could find a few Rider fans with full sets of teeth.
  4. Not quite what he said. He thanked the fans for the prayers & well wishes and says he was grateful for the chance to play in front of them. Saying it's going to be a journey back does not sound like he's given up on the game, just that it's a long road (one he is already familiar with).
  5. Too deep for them... I don't think anyone (especially in their fanbase) is that clever. They should enjoy it now though because they won't get another one for a while.
  6. The Riders aren't too far off either... everyone in the CFL knows what "The W" is.
  7. Better clip, with the pick.
  8. Alford: 6 tackles, 2 assists and one interception.
  9. You can see what the picks were. It was BB1 and the misnamed Eternal Optimist. 😂
  10. After 7 games played BC has given up 135 points. After 7 games the Bombers had given up 114 points. It's not a hard concept to grasp.
  11. Two separate issues. This is not about the school shooting, it's about the ability for people like Jones to be able to spread their bullshit with zero repercussions. He's not responsible for the shooting but he is responsible for some of the s**t the family has had to deal with and now he's being held accountable for that.
  12. Yup, privacy laws do pertain to athletes as well. When the UFC first came here in 2013, they released next to no information as to why some fighters received medical suspensions following the event because of this.
  13. Interesting choice... Very Canadian of you!
  14. Not sure where to put this so I'll drop it here since this is one roster move we won't be making. Apparently Alford has been having a good showing with the Falcons so far.
  15. Can never have too many Rider losses.
  16. Harris admits himself he wasn't in a good place mentally or physically last season - I think he needed the change of scenery tbh and it's working out well for him so far. Direct quote from him: “Last year was really just a bad year for me overall on and off the field. The stuff off the field kind of led to on the field more than anything. This year, my head is a lot clearer as far as my surroundings and everything going on in my life.” https://www.sportsnet.ca/cfl/around-the-cfl-argonauts-rb-andrew-harris-proving-age-is-just-a-number/?sn-amp
  17. Just another week of massive roster changes in Edmonton...
  18. We did lose there in 2019 & 2021 but in 2018, we (Strevy actually) crushed them 56-10 early in the season. https://www.cfl.ca/games/2471/ We also won there in 2013 (twice), 2014, 2016 & 2017.
  19. Adams is on the injured list as of 2 days ago.
  20. Jon Ryan sat unsigned for months and yet the L's still felt he was worth trading for. I could see Prokup holding the same type of value. I don't think he's worth much more than a late round pick or maybe a neg list player but with the quality of QB's in the league right now, somebody might be willing to trade for him.
  21. If people don't think Prokup would have value to another team, they need to go back and watch Davis play. How he still has a job is beyond me.
  22. The Riders have been fortunate as well - outside of the Bombers, the rest of the league has been average at best over the last couple seasons. The entire East division has been trash for a while, Calgary was not playing up to their standards while Bo was hurt, the L's haven't won a home game in 3 years and BC has been a bottom two team in the West since 2017. This.
