  1. It's 100% just to make it seem like the club was actually doing something. This was the nearly the best outcome possible though (imo) & I love the fact that they are being hooped by the coaches cap when they (and Chris Jones) are the reason it exists in the first place.
  2. I was going to say his lack of mobility was a most certainly a change for Rourke but then I looked at the stats from the game against us earlier in the year. Zero rushing attempts - the only team he could not run against. I'm guessing Calgary's D-Line is very much looking forward to Sunday.
  3. Yeah, he's not just collecting a pay cheque like many CFL'ers who catch on with an NFL team. He's been one of their better defenders and still has room to grow/learn.
  4. You have to also consider how bad the team was back then. The prospect of getting two NFL caliber players offered a bit of hope. Now it would just be a bonus.
  5. It's up to O'Day to bring the players in but Dickenson would have input to what the roster looks like. The GM doesn't work independently of the coaches/scouts so they are all responsible for that glorious mess over there.
  6. One game closer to the NFL pension before coming home!
  7. I want to see a TD from Wideout Willie if they're going to keep lining him up out there.
  8. If correct, it's odd then that he would turn around and then dump on the party for the way the leadership race was handled and the way they are running government. He could have bowed out of the leadership race for the same reasons he gave (not enough time to mount a serious campaign) without throwing the party under the bus. I agree that anyone would have had a tough time stepping in during the pandemic, but Gillingham seems like the anti-Pallister, in that he seems to be thoughtful and considerate. A leader like him could have potentially turned things around for the party but instead you get a completely out of touch Stefanson who has only further eroded their support.
  9. He seriously considered a run at the MB PC leadership after Pallister left but he abandoned that plan when he saw how it was rigged for Stefanson to win. I'm sure he will try again, it's a just a matter of when.
  10. Yeah there was an article about it this past week about some of his former views and how they changed over time (aka once he was running for office). Not saying he hasn't changed but the timing is mighty suspect. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/gillingham-mayor-pastor-pentecostal-distance-homophobia-1.6626840
  11. He's posted pictures of himself getting vaxxed and he spoke out against at least one anti-mask protest so he's, at the very least, not a complete moron.
  12. How did the Bombers miss an opportunity? The team awards are voted on by the local media and the head coach.
  13. Who else would they nominate though? He shouldn't beat out Collaros but for their own team, nobody else was really worthy. I'm more curious as to who else would have gotten votes... Rhymes maybe for MOP but MOC? This.
  14. Interesting that Rourke was not a unanimous selection for BC.
  15. The concert was pre-game. The Lions hoped that the music fans would stick around for the game and become football fans.
  16. The others were just being good team mates and helping him look for it.
