Why didn't Subban get penalized in the first for the high stick? They had him in the box and everything? Is there something in the rules about being allowed to whack someone in the head if the puck is in the air? And the 5 + game was the right call. But I don't see the need for more from the league. My biggest fear is Buff does something similar.

I remember that game. There was no "theft" from anyone involved. Neilson did this spur of the moment with no thought as to who "might" have done it before him. The response from the fans the next game was brilliant.

There is the reserve of the WBB and then there is a reserve fund in the BBB. The BBB fund is not part of the F/S in the annual report, but is material and reported on in Note 7. So they made enough cash to pay down the $4M, plus the $500K to the BBB as well as put $500K into their own reserve fund. They also paid down $1.4M of their own debt. The cash came from $1.8M increase in deferred revenue and a ~$4M increase in Deferred contributions, plus results of operations. I'm not really sure what the deferred contributions are, and what the source of that cash was. Note 6. doesn't clarify that for me and I didn't go thorugh the whole MD&A.

Ok - sorry, but you were making some pretty unfounded accusations about a subject you don't know much about. Accusing the Bombers of using "Creative accounting" is actually a pretty serious accusation that you probably should be prepared to defend if you are going to throw it around. I would say it came from cash flow. Substantial increase in deferred revenue = cash came in we didn't have expenses against.

Isn't it too hot in the summer? Average of plus 32 in June, July and August doesn't sound ideal. Think of hot July days in Manitoba...without the humidity...or the wind...or the mosquitos. It's really quite ideal.

I don't know. The series dragged on and the movies were terrible. I can't see this re-boot working, especially if they only signed for 6 episodes. The magic of the early seasons is long dead. Hollywood needs to come up with something new. I'll watch it (I watch any crappy Sci-Fi) but I'm not holding out much hope for it being good.
