Cheering for Anaheim -
I see from google there was a chant at a Leafs game for the Blue Jays. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5JNA3ROOB4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5JNA3ROOB4

I don't even think it's middle ground. I think both systems suck and need to be tossed in favour of something better. And the government should be the ones getting off their asses to determine what that looks like. But, as said above, the will to actually do that seems to be less than the political cost.

I don't know. Already horror stories about people being sent home from ER with serious issues that needed looking at. Also, tough to tell someone to go see their family Doc when a lot of people don't have a family doc.

So "Who's your Captain" was pretty good but I still like the chant for Ovechkin of "Crosby's better". What are some of the other good chants. I know there's been a bunch.

Who? Never heard of him. Guess that's how they kept it a secret.

Not even a rumour as to who it is?

Please don't get KBF going on the BCTF. The board would melt down.... (And BTW, I agree with his opinion on it)

To those responding to my comment about not needing cell phone laws, my point is simply that the existing law was adequate to cover cell phone use if the driver is distracted. We didn;t need a law specific to cell phone use, we needed the existing law to be enforced. It bothers me because it leads to lazy enforcement. Tickets for the sake of tickets and not safety related. If I am stopped at a re light and check my phone, I don't see that as a safety issues. If someone is driving and checking their phone, then yes it is and they would have been covered by the existing law. I know cell phones are an issue. But it just bugs me that the cops take the easy way to make money instead of doing their job. There is something broken with our system when it becomes more about cash than preventing accidents.

They had a green goalie at the other end of the ice and managed 20 shots on goal. That was not good enough....
-
Bottom line to me is that the old laws (distracted driving etc.) were about safety and the no-cellphone laws are about revenue generation. Cops pretending to be beggars at stop lights really hit this home. And I've never been ticketed for either.

Kinda realted question, and just curious. Do kids still walk a ways to school? I went to Maple Leaf and walked maybe 1 KM to and from school. As did everyone else I knew. Is that still the case or are kids all bused now? Just curious.

Yeah, it was only a little bit of rape, no big deal.

Had to go back to Wpg in Feb for a wedding. Shortest trip of my life. Even though it wasn't that cold, I missed the wonderful weather and the lovely mountains. And who says I WANT to watch a game with iso

And Vancouver isn't helping. Losing 2-0 to LA. We will be out of the Wildcard spot in a couple of hours. -

Have no idea what goes on behind the scenes, but man am I impressed with Buff being willing to move from D to F to D and whatever the team needs. Good on him.
-
Doubt I will. I never got banned or anything and never had a run-in with Shankman, I just don't have a reason to go back since this site meets my needs just fine.

The market has spoken - SUN News Network has shutdown
tacklewasher replied to blueandgoldguy's topic in General Discussion
No I'm not talking human rights, I'm talking anything on the right. I see it all the time on the internet. People had no trouble lambasting the view on networks like sun news, yet citing blogs from incredibly biased left wingers as truth. The left is very intolerant to anything other than their world view. Look at how much **** Alberta gets for maintaining low taxes. The left won't hear of any sort of positive, it's just a travesty and barbaric that they're not gouging the populace in order to spend spend spend. Alberta needs a PST as we haven't enough revenue when oil prices tank like now. I hate taxes but this seems like a no brainer to me, 17. Alberta needed a PST when things were going well. Stick some cash away for a rainy day (like now). Tie it to the price of oil (set annually) so it reduces when oil prices go down and increases when they go up. And then when employment drops as oil price has dropped, use the funds to maintain infastructure and the like. Labour is cheaper (less competition). Now would be a good time to build proper roads to Fort Mack, if they had had the foresight to put money aside for it. -
May as well sign Joseph.

So then I really can't figure out how Glenn has lasted this long. Other than people thinking that Kevin Glenn 2015 is still KG 2007, which he isn't. Or, crazy thought here, you're selling Glenn short because of a personal bias against the player He's done. It's been years since he's been really effective. No issue with him as a person, but he needs to retire before he becomes the next Joseph.
-
This. 9 year ago he was a decent QB. He has been downhill ever since and turtles at either the first hit or if he sees his breath. I get that it's Wpg hosting the GC and want the best chance to win, I just don't see this re-tread who has been cut by most teams in the league, being the answer and am simply stunned that others still do. Glenn is done. Let's move on.
