I know the CFL sucks and is unwatchable but last night was an epic. As one gets older less things impress you but last night I left the stadium astonished.

If he's playing the "Us vs. the world" strategy to focus team and placate fans he cant even do that right either. You dont circle wagons and antagonize league brass at the same time.

Riders arent getting fluffed by league and TSN anymore so you just know somebody is going to take the backlash. Still the most insecure fanbase in the league. CFL fans are complainers, always have been, for good reasons and not. Two years ago it was lowing scoring games. And when your team is down the complaining becomes more acute. Simple as that.

Take on the responsibility like leaders do. "I played horribly last night. My 4 picks hurt my teams's chances of winning" "I feel badly for our fans" etc etc. would be a start. Doesnt matter that he's surounded by crap. He's the veteran, he's supposed to step up.

Whatever happened to Darian Durant the supposed leader of that team? Jones rips the heart out and Durant hasnt filled the void with any sort of leadership. Meekly in the background waiting to see what team he'll play for next.

Heard Roddy on TSN radio here in HAM chatting up the game tomorrow night. Kept using the term "we". Fluffed Jones comparing him to Bellichek and described fans who disliked Jones approach as old and out of touch. Apparently in Rod's mind cheating is modern and the newest technique to win at sports. Sounded like a jackass blowhard fan of a team you dont like we all know in every sport (but gets paid to be one)
