Total clusterbang of the QB file by Taman and Chamblin - poor reflection on last years COY- but he's untouchable and they're circling the wagons.

Priders are in damage control. Now Durant is saying he was 3-4 mos. away all along. "Nothing to see here -move along" attitude by Rider fans is baffling.

Funny, but he has no shortage of defenders.(because he's a loyal Rider fan dontchyaknow)

I'm fine with Crompton but only if TSN stops showering him with praise for doing routine, everyday things pro QBs are expected to do. I know the league and TSN want to pump up and coming QBs but, geez, let him throw a 300 yard game first.

When Khari took over here from Gibson - he still had the tag of "best young offensive mind in the league" . Offense dropped off considerably and was nothing special or inventive. Tag remained when he moved on to SSK (without getting the OC job or offers from elsewhere) and still has yet to show anything beyond the ordinary -he's just another former player coach imo.

Game revealed a whole lot more than just the need for Durant. Team is a mess right now. With the luxury of hindsight If the Prider org. was that serious about a title defense and quality control its hard to see where - other than the D-line which they bought last year.

I sat in Ivor Wynne in 2002 and watched my Bombers dismantle a horrible Ticat team. One of the worst teams I'd ever seen, and they brought that lousy product on the field week after week, for years. The stands were not full, but they were far from empty. Those were fans that can thump their chests in my books. Supporting your team year after year despite absolute dreck, those are good fans. Thanks, Yeah, HAM went 7-11 that year running on the fumes of the good 98-2001 teams. But we didnt know how even worse it would get. But if you said that to a jagoff Rider fan they would say they had bad teams in the past too - the past that reminds the fans of other teams of when SSK had a civilized, respectable fan base but cant talk about it because the Riders arent like that anymore -no more mr. nice guy - we aren't the league's doormats anymore etc. etc.

Khari has shown absolutely nothing. If Priders are going to scapegoat Cortez I'd go after him.

Whole outfit looked pretty dysfunctional on sidelines. Big changes coming to Priders too - only they're not calling it a "blow-up" or "rebuild" they're calling it a "tear-down phase" Prider fans are lapping it up because they think team will be fine -.

The day I hear Bomber fans or any other team in the CFL declare themselves repeatedly to be the best fans in the CFL is the day I exempt Prider fans from criticism. They say they're the best. They say they're diff from everyone else. With that comes scrutiny and criticism. Don't like it ? Then try to act a little less like a jackass, little less chest beating, and choose words more carefully when you're in the stands and online.

All that Prider fan tap dancing around the facts of how Taman and Chamblin botched several key areas all year up to and including yesterday is fascinating. Orthodoxy and fear of reprisal is strong over there

EDM deserved to win by defense shutting down every weapon SSK had. This growing notion that wins and standings are artifical with offense being way down is stupid.

Are you kidding? That's started a long time ago. Actually it goes away and comes back in regular intervals the way "Fire Hall !" used to. All the while Chamblin somehow is blameless. When Rider fans have it in their head somebody is untouchable (chamblin) gawd help you if you're not on that list.(cortez)

What a load of crap. As an effective and dominant def. game from EDM one can reasonably expect. Rider braintrust including teflon Chamblin had no answer for it. EDM's missed FGs made it clsoer than it should of have been.

Re : Lawless Normally you have to be skeptical with such accusastions from a columnist because its his job to be provocative. But such a serious accusation like a player bailing on a team before a playoff game is so severe me thinks there might be something to it. Presumably Lawless wants to preserve his info pipelines and his little tv time he gets (all newspaper hacks want TV gigs) seems more farfetched he would risk all that if there wasnt a kernel of truth here.

Long offseason of second guessing and recrimination for Canada's team. Lawless's assertion that Durant bailed is heresy in Prider land of course but so much time for the story to hash itself out. Chamblin and Rider braintrust will be under the gun for starting KJ and keeping him in the game even after 5 picks. All that money spent last year and now what ,where did O-line go ?

Nothing against Kerry Joseph - supposed to be a quality dude on and off the field - but I hope SSK gets effing humiliated today.

First up. BC @ MTL. Does Glenn shed or cement his reputation in big games ? Did MTL peak two weeks ago or are they still trending up ? SSK @ EDM. Geritol Follies. Does Joseph make a nice story or does Nicholls muddle through and EDM defense puts Prider nation out of its misery ?

Matt Nichols named starter this morning.................. He clearly mental once Nichols leg collapses on itself and goltz chokes himself on a TD celebration.. Pretty sure Zontar wasn't actually guaranteeing that Reilly will play. I recall a certain troll that made numerous guarantees that Durant would play at the end of the regular season because "Flutie had the same injury". One kills the joke when its explained but thanks anyway.

and with the riders being eliminated this weekend it's perfect because no one can call them on their bullshit this time. "Oh yeah he totally would have played if we could have won this week" Excuses will range from Durant's injury to "who cares the CFL sucked this year anyway"
