  1. 34 years old, dunno 'bout this one, fellas.
  2. Starting three CDNs on defense for week 1. Would that be Bulcke, Laurent, and Butler? Is Courtney Stephen not a starter at the moment? Plesius is still in the mix at MLB too Kromah and Bowman out so Plesius in making 4 with Bulke, Butler, Stephen. I think this is a franchise first .
  3. Starting three CDNs on defense for week 1.
  4. Gainey is a surprise
  5. Crushing hangover in a glass. Allllll that sugar.....
  6. Buddy o mine swears by El Dorado 12 year old from Guyana. All rum is the same to me . Dont drink it enough to develop a taste for it or whats good or bad.
  7. Wiser's deluxe was the go to rye for years but re-discovered an old brand Walkers Special Old and might go back to that - a lot nicer than the old man vibe it gives off - try it. For all the Crown fans - it's good just sayin its over rated.
  8. Fairly run of the mill lager , no ?
  9. It's not even US beers, there's like 2 companies that own pretty much every major brand globally. It's really sad. It's a big reason why I tend to buy beers mainly from small independent craft breweries. They care more about the flavour of their beer than the taste. The big labels have started trying to trick people too by trying to give the appearance of being a craft beer but still putting their fizzy watery tasting beer in the bottle. Definitely. Craft beer has the big boys scared. Their reply it seems is to simply ramp up the hops (and do nothing else). In the States, the conglomorates are trying to find the next Pabst Blue Ribbon - an old name that was revived then hipster doofuses glommed onto it about 10 years ago turning it from discount garbage to "cool" and popular and ,of course, up went the price.
  10. Many old US name brands are still around but gawd only knows if they taste they way they used to. US is basically down to 2-3 mass market mega breweries that bought up all the small -mid size breweries in the 80s and use the old names in the hopes nostalgia of drinking dad's/grandad's beer distracts from the swill they actually make. Like other manufacturing sectors what has happened to US beer in one generation (and some extent Canada)is astonishing.
  11. 13, 000 for home ex. game. You're simply amazing CFL's best fans !!!
  12. Ottawa is the only Canadian team that doesn't sell out all of their NHL games too. and if the flames stick to being a bad team you'll be seeing some empty seats in the saddledome as well. Ottawa is just a weird town for sports, they just don't seem to really get behind anything. Calgary is a band wagon town plain and simple. OTT supports the 67s. but yes, passion is rare there. How they got an NHL team defies logic.
  13. Re: HAM. Mutobola is worth checking out. Usefull CDN - injury got him squeezed out here.
  14. A lot of Boston Bruin fans came outta nowhere too in the past 5 years.
  15. Rider reaction Rider fan behaviour is particulalry interesting. Tales of douchebag Rider fans are met with accusations of lying and jealousy then they wrap themselves into a pretzel trying to decide if it really represents today's rider fans as some are trying despeartely to lose the nice loveable loser personna with a "no more mr. nice guy" swagger and others trying to hang onto the notion of Rider fans being the classiest in the league because they're the smartest etc. - "Canada's best fans" are easily the most insecure.
  16. A common scenario. Fan of Other Team : We have a pretty good fanbase, passionate , vocal, rich history. Riderfans. Meh, nowhere close to us, we're different we're special . I was at your stadium last week there were more Rider fans (or loudest fans were Rider fans). We're not like other fans in Canada. Fan of Other Team : Well, I was at a Rider game with my team sweater on and somebody whipped a beer can at my (kid, girlfriend , buddy etc) head. Riderfans : <indignation> So what ? happens at every game we're no different.
  17. are the most out of touch people on the planet. They really don't seem to know anything other than it's not fair that some people have more than they do so **** those people. "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other peoples money" Baroness Thatcher.
  18. My rant was towards ON public sector unions. Police, teachers, hydro. Province has been told for years their books are a mess but they cave to union threats every time. Private sector walloped by 2008 recession yet the above mentioned row gently down the stream as if nothing happened with regular raises.. Its so ironic socialists have said for so long the private wealthy are out of touch and have to feel the pain like everyone else. Tories and others sent that message back at them and the unions went berserk so much so they actually abdoned thier traditional NDP base to back the Liberals.
  19. Summertime and the livin is easy. A message of fiscal sanity is never a winner when people think things are just fine. Fat, rotten union salaries create that illusion and sense of entitlement. Liberals think they've won . When the bill comes in they'll soon wish they were in oppositon.
  20. If players liked him and were convinced they could succeed Worman could have gone to meeting with a two-four and not been fired. Als didnt want to risk another Hawkins gong show by giving Worman more time then have to can him before LD. This is a football move not a personal ethics one.
  21. My hope is everyone has fun and no one gets hurt.
  22. competing against a fading Montreal team, an expansion Ottawa team and the Argos? Yeah I suspect they'll wind up looking like they're a better team than they are again. A gutted SSK, gong show in EDM, iffy Lulay, iffy QBs in CAL ....is there anyone left ...?
  23. You guys are mean.
  24. Real argument is how awesome HAM will be this year. Spectacular or amazing ? Take your time.
  25. So much for that 98% strike vote. What a crock. And now back to regularlry scheduled fun.
