  1. Sure, growing pains.........but, we just finished having the pain (worst playoff performance in NHL history, according to advanced stats) , with not much potential upside....except perhaps, Stanley
  2. Knew about Copp's status. My thinking was if the Jets are serious about signing him, they should do it before arbitration, for a number of reasons....
  3. Sure, we can have a quick bounce back if a few things happen, but plenty of questions this off season... The deal is to get younger, stronger and faster, overall... On D. Just show Boo Boo, Forbert, and Benn a map to the exit ramp. Keep Poolman for now( who can skate), and really hope somebody helps him along with his hockey IQ. Protect Stanley. Heinola and Slamberg have open slots waiting for them. Need to bring in another D-man, so we can have enough competent pairings, back there.... Up front. Convinced PLD was nicked pretty badly, confident he will have a big bounce back. Have to keep 81 with 55. Connor looked hopeless without the Chief. Hard look needs to be taken at Wheeler's role and ice time, moving forward Get rid of the glue guys - need to get faster and younger there - Ves, Gus, and Harkins waiting and waiting and waiting.... Stas will be 36, love the guy but we need to divert some cap to defensive upgrades. Copp resigning here or not....is going to create a ripple effect on bottom 6 Perfetti? Up to him. If he can break in.....absolutely give him some PP time. We need more creativity there Coaching I have defended Maurice on HF for a number of years now. I am finding it real hard, right now to continue doing so. Will deal with that issue in another post
  4. We got totally out skated, out battled and out hustled ...........by the Habs...... playing their 4th game in 6 days after playing a 7 game series. No excuses in the world, covers that.
  5. Coughed it up along the boards, one more time. Fitting.
  6. Why do we look so much more tired that the Habs?
  7. Habs got in TWQ CHANGES, while keeping the puck in our end, the whole time..... Joke.
  8. 13 shots in the first 47 minutes, in a must win game. Impressive...
  9. Trying to look up the official NHL rule, against hitting Perry.... Jets getting some pretty tic-tac calls on them...
  10. Our new trigger man. Price didn't look too hot on that one...
  11. A man not afraid to shoot! I must protest. Merely thought about it...
  12. Tired of reaching for the gin Bottle just sits in my lap now....
  13. Run with the young guys next year......git rid of the glue horses, and some of these assorted hobo's on D
  14. Start the series with dumb ass turnovers......ending it the same way...
  15. Kongbo looked good in his brief stint, here. Uber athletic and likes to bang....
  16. People have no real idea, how hard I worked, to come up with that one......
  17. Need that first goal Given that we haven't blown a single lead, yet.....
  18. Time for the Jets to unveil a new bold and innovative strategy, tonight.... Actually show up, coming out of the gate
  19. Habs are playing solid hockey, but we made them look like the 82 Islanders. After the 55 thing.....waited to see who would step up, for us ....still waiting Have all the time in the world for Lowry and Ehlers. A bunch of others? Not so much. Perry could play another 10 years....provided it is against the Jets Watching #81 without #55 is not a pretty sight Habs are not scared to run young guys into their lineup ..neither should we, next season. In fact, it's a must Stanley had a good series, against the Oil, not so good in this one. ...but I still keep him around a mile, over Fobort, Benn, and Poolman - those 3 need to follow the exit sign. If Maurice starts next year, jerking around the Harkins and Ves's, in favor of more glue guys.....just bag his ass. Why does Paul always end up trapped, when dealing with the trap? Since 2018. Wheeler is still an asset.....but his future role, and ice time....needs to be carefully considered. Pretty hard for Morrissey and Pionk to do the heavy lifting, and baby sit their partner, simultaneously No amount of gin and satire, could hide the fact, that the Jets in a must game...... .........served up an absolute incompetent and gutless performance.
  20. Sure, the Jets have faced adversity in this series. But the total lack of step up and brains, by this team is shocking..... Run Perfetti, Samberg, Heinola, Ves, Harkins and any other deserving Moose, in there next year. Growing pains? So what. Would beat watching a bunch of these current lames...
  21. Wheeler played most of the year with cracked ribs.......it's what we do around here, it seems....
  22. Before we throw the baby out with the bathwater, we need to consider the following: PLD gets traded from a D orientated team, to one coached by Maurice (who may never solve the central zone box, in our lifetime) He has to sit out 2 week quarantine, then promptly gets a concussion. He is also in the PM line blender, while going through this. Does not look too bad, scores some big goals......then he appeared to tweek something, during the 2 game blowout series with Leafs. Since then we see flashes, but mostly a guy who is now far less physical out there and puck handling becomes shaky He does not completely extend himself even in the act of hitting , or bend his upper body ever slightly. Shots are now muffins. Some zoom shots of him, clearly shows "cupping marks" all over his neck. He is getting treated for something... My bet. Sports hernia, groin pull or something -that is not going to improve the rest of this year. 22 years old, with a mess of physical tools. But ya, bag his ass.
  23. ...at least there will be social distancing, masks, and the appropriate transport for attendees.....right? Traveled to Myanmar in the 90's. This "comparison" is utterly grotesque, even by Trumpian standards.
  24. Helly. Also, with this setup, you won't see Jets forwards zooming through the neutral zone on the rush.....Forbort and Benn are slow and slower, chip and run guys, Poolman is a better skater, but is like a car without a steering wheel, the steadiness and poise of Stanley, this year has somewhat evaporated, in this series.
