Well, the COVID-19 outbreak was identified in South Korea and in the United States on the same day. After struggling with previous responses to SARS and MERS, the SD government had drawn up a specific pandemic playbook based on test, trace, isolate - high tech contact tracing, massive amounts of tests produced quickly, and Zero-Tolerance Isolation measures. As well, the activation of consistent messaging - daily briefings by scientists and medical experts, only .....to update the public and promote best practices,such as social distancing and hand-washing, regardless of location. Today, South Korea has fewer than 300 deaths.....the U.S. more than 70,000. Not even going to belabour the sorry specifics of the Trump Administration's efforts in dealing with this crisis. Posted a couple of months ago, that thousands of Americans would die needlessly. Hoped I was wrong, but.....here we are.

Featuring a Grand Leader float, with Trump, wearing an Orange toga, and having some lackey holding a wad of dollar bills over his head. The procession will end up in the Senate House, with Trump being declared dictator, by acclimation, while heavy armed MAGA types ring the building. Afterwards, a giant bonfire of science books.

Would be better to get back to basics, on this. Joe Biden is like anyone else in the public eye. He can admit or deny the charge. Reade's original complaint made on the Hill is going to come out. This week, CBS, Washington Post, The Times, CNN and others have run editorial statements, calling on Biden to address Reade's accusations. In his case, Biden has publicly denied them, on national TV. So, the marker is up there now..... either compelling evidence, incoming....or there is not. Biden will simply have to take his chances, just like everybody else. If the case can be made, he should pay the legal price, and regardless, the Dems would end up with somebody else on the top of the ticket. Time will tell.
