Turns out that Mueller referred 14 cases of potential criminal activity to outside offices because the cases were “outside the scope of the special counsel’s jurisdiction,” according to the report. Somehow, Barr completely missed that little tidbit, in both his instant summary, and press conference. No mention of the statement that "the behavior of witnesses tied to the Trump campaign “materially impaired” parts of the investigation." In fact, there are plenty of incidents in there, showing how for over more than two years, Trump tried to pressure law enforcement officials, back-channel to witnesses and deter inquiries into his relationship with Russia. Barr claimed that Mueller’s team could not decide whether Trump had obstructed justice, leaving the decision up to the attorney general. Yet the report states that the special counsel’s office held back from offering a conclusion because they would not be able to charge Trump on obstruction (as I already pointed out) due to the Justice Department opinion that sitting presidents could not be indicted. Also the report noted that if Mueller found clear evidence that Trump didn’t obstruct justice, he would’ve cleared him of it. Barr has significantly and deliberately...... misled Congress and the public, in his assessment of whether Trump obstructed justice. But then again, he was just doing the job, he was placed in there to do. Working for Trump, instead of the DOJ, and the rest of the American people.

Something like this topic needs to be sensitively handled in a measured and mature fashion. But what is needed and what one gets..... Stripped the C from Sittler, got rid of MacDonald....and turned the Leafs into a pure joke. I simply could not support that clown show....or continue to suffer with it. Even today..... I hate the Toronto Maple Leafs. Funny thing is that most of their players, would get a pass from me. It's simply the Toronto media, and the fan base. Have listened to one, and had many interactions with the other. Out here in the hinterlands (West of the Golden Triangle), for decades, we have gotten Leafs news shoved down our throats 24/7 - what their 4th liner wears on Thursdays, what another guy eats for breakfast, what still another guy has coming out the other end. As if we could really give a crap. The fan base? Passionate....which is a good thing - but just too many folks indoctrinated with the idea that "world class" Toronto, and their team, that hasn't won anything in 50 years....is somehow a cut above everything and everybody and the ultimate flagship franchise. Reinforced by TSN and Sportsnet, at all times. The football snobbery by the same fans and especially the media in TO, worshiping the NFL and crapping on the CFL....is also to their discredit. Montreal Canadians: Hated them for decades, but always with a twinge of guilt. Not because of the French thing, but simply because they were real, real good - those suckers always won.....like always. Always rooted against them, but it was always like tilting at windmills. Hell, I watched one team that had Lemaire and Cournoyer playing on the 4th line! Even after expansion, GM Pollack fleeced teams for years.....fobbing off spare or aged parts, for prospects and draft picks. I just thought it would never end. More incoming.....

Day by day, it is becoming more apparent how Barr got that gig....

Just watched the trailer for Joker Understand, that I have never had all much use for quite a lot of these Marvel, DC, et el, comic book , superhero movies..... Having said that.....this could be special. After 45 seconds, couldn't care if it was AC, DC,.....or whatever. Joaquin Phoenix (not to my surprise) is going to bring it. That trailer had more good cinematography and editing.... that a lot of entire movies, I have seen lately - very cinematic feel. If they gave out an statue for trailers, whoever made this would be in the running. If the rest of the movie is up to this standard......more statues to come.

Funny thing is.,... that I have leaned towards conservatives politically, most of my life.....but on Breitbart, I was considered as simply another snowflake libtard. That said, watching this current edition of the Republican Party, is making me more liberal, by the day.

Lot of advantages in not being gay in today's Republican Party. You can cheat or your taxes or wife, rig votes, spread bigotry, rob from the poor to give to the rich among other things......and completely avoid any moral judgments, whatsoever.

Couple o' things: So far, only Barr (Trump's hand picked AG) has actually seen the report. What we have is strictly his opinion, after reading it. As far as "collusion", I posted a number of times about how difficult that non-legal term (the real term is conspiracy) is to prove in a court of law. Mueller also is considered an ole time, by the book prosecutor....who would also follow the long time, unwritten code that the DOJ cannot indict a sitting President. As far as obstruction, without seeing the report, hard to tell what information is in there about it, what the overall context is, or what has been possibly passed along (like the Flynn, Cohen, Manifort cases) to State jurisdictions. One indicator will be the willingness of the Trump administration to release the report - after all, if it completely exonerates Trump, you would think they would be fast-tracking it. If they attempt to foot drag, the question would be why? Another indicator would be if Barr is allowed to appear in a projected Congressional hearing. If not, why not? He should be able to answer questions about the evidence, he has already seen. While Trump and friends are racing around on the ole victory lap.....they might want to remember that as far as actual legal threats......the District of Columbia, Virginia, and especially the SDNY, are still working cases. Of those, the Cohen case (campaign finance violations) has some traction, based on evidence provided so far. The ultimate threat is stil the money trail. More than a few hints of fraudulent behaviour in Trumps' past business activities, in New York State, especially on the tax/insurance front. SDNY is also currently investigating the Russian money-laundering Deutsche Bank AG....who over a 40 year period.... loaned Trump an estimated 2 Billion dollars, despite both his widely perceived credit risk, and his overstating of assets, on a number of occasions. In the end I think this will end up being the most interesting back story.

But Trump had already stated that no payments were made, then that yes, payments were made, but he knew nothing about it. Even though Cohen (his attack dog and legal fixer for a decade) arranged them....in between making deals with the National Enquirer to catch and kill a variety of embarrassing and unflattering stories about Trump. If, at this stage.... you can take Trump`s word on this matter as gospel.....more power to you.
