Medlock pounds long kickoff single...... Rider ST unit, not having a good day.... Mr. Leggett outfights Holley for 50/50 ball...... ....then breaks Roosevelt's tackle.....and takes it all the way..... 38-20......comfortable lead....but with our D, one never knows.... Glenn goes down......and comes up holding his throwing hand... In goes Bridge.....who promptly hits a......you guessed it.... ......yet another wide open receiver (Holley) for 6. Bridge runs in 2 pt convert......38-28.....not cooled out, just yet... JFG and Harris get first downs, into Rider territory.... Bombers hurry out of the huddle.....and Nichols puts it up... ....to a wide open (repetitive, I know) Lankford in the end zone.... Bridge looking a bit less of a comer, at this point.... Mike Miller does not take no for answer on special teams.... Bombers start to eat up clock , with Harris..... Flanders catch/run to the 3....negated by penalty. Medlock makes it 48-28. Comfortable, at this point.... Nichols scrambles.....no slide....and keeps going for 40.... ...until ball is punched out of his hands, for the turnover.... However, Randle picks off Bridge in next series..... Harris pounds away, as the Blue kill the clock. Nichols 3 TD/0 picks.....Blue special teams very good.... Blown coverages and 250 yds in YAC.....not what you want on D. But Bombers now 8-3. Riders pushed back to pretender status.... Another huge win, at IGF... Another huge gin for DOD.....

Last week the Riders came up with the big plays, early - long TD, INT, long punt return. We made exactly none. Can't have that happen again.......no excuses accepted.

Not being a coach, I simply cannot bring myself to criticize, keeping a receiver in the lineup, who has done nothing, the last 4 games..... But, pretty sure some others can...,.

Had to make a move with the LBs......Knox is terrible.

Johnson just has to be in there.

This D is particularly dependent on getting something from our pass rush, as we still have holes in the back 7.

The entire team should up the ante, next game......and actually be prepared to play, from the get-go. The rest will take care of itself.

Buy the standard set, since Matt took over the helm.......that was not a good game. But in the big picture, week to week - this D is a far larger problem.

Knox is actually a very instinctive player.......he always goes the wrong way or takes the wrong angle, out there.

No Thorpe and Johnson were questionable (and were questioned) roster decisions. We miss a lot of physicality without those two. Questionable game planning and not to let the players off the hook - poor execution and mistakes, by the players. Falling behind big, in a rabid stadium. From top to bottom - this team, for whatever reasons......was simply not ready to get it done. This cannot happen next weekend.

Was on the road in the US.....just came home and have been watching the tape......part way through, so far....but have some questions. What the hell was our game plan on offense? You can stretch a field more vertically than horizontally....and we are not even making the attempt to do so What the hell are our receivers doing? Nichols is going deep into reads, and still having no one open downfield. What is with the back 7 on D? Fogg at DHB looks horrible, Knox simply has no instincts at all, Hurl not quick enough.....and cover/tackle busts everywhere. What is with Hall? Never seen Glenn play before? Came up with a great scheme.....for Glenn, that is. What was with that first Nichols pic......Matt used everything but smoke and a blanket, telegraphing that one.... Only other question......where can I find more gin?

Have to contest the short patterns, like not playing way off the receivers.....and make Glenn hold the ball, and hang it the pocket, past the 3-4 step backs.
