Some of the evaluations of Quarterbacks, and import OL round these parts......pretty questionable as well. The eye is squarely on this scouting staff - we really need some followup to the stuff we did this week, in free agency. Don't want to hear about recruiting, anymore.....just want to see it.

Demond? Very good athlete with a lot of speed who can deliver a blow. His problem is/was adapting to the new pass coverage rules..... under the ole rules, Washington depended on a certain amount of press cover, with a lot of hand cheking - the officials zeroed in on him, early last year.....and he got nailed for a ton of PI, all through the season....

Really wanted to see Cummings here......this guy can ball.

Needed two things this year: Walters to dip into this particular deep FA pool to upgrade overall talent and starting Canuck lineup - this has been done. Stronger recruiting across the board, before and during season - we will see...

Nichols is the best option at backup right now. That is..... until this organization actually figures out how to acquire and develop their own Quarterbacks. You could time the progress there, with a sundial. Or perhaps not.

Sage move. Say what you want about the guy....but he is far and away better than any of our "recruits" lately. Which, of course is a root problem round these parts.

Yes, in this league...you can have a quick turnaround, with plenty of examples, the last couple of years. Right. Fine. The deal for this organization is to.....just....do....it. No more idle talk. No more entries into the tried and true Blue Bomber Excuse Book. Give us something.....

200k for limited blocking, and terrible shotgun snaps. At least we cut our our losses, here....

Sure we need better OL play, a complementary RB, and more size/speed at receiver. But our O was really poorly designed from the get-go: Every run play a form of stretch play, with the RB coming to a dead stop, taking the handoff Running shotgun formations with a C who couldn't make the snaps (Picard) Having a zone blocking scheme, that confused only our OL-men Running gimmick plays for a player who is not a YAC guy (Denmark) Having no apparent plan against pressure D packages, especially zone blitzes Running short yardage plays from shotgun Slowest overall tempo on O......ever. No draw/screen game O not properly prepared for start of games.....20 to 30 min. of total futility, most games I could go on and on.....but you get the picture. Lapo might not be the be and end all, as OC's go. But he should be able to at least DESIGN something better for the players to work with. Why we didn't can Marcel along with Etch, before this year.... is still an enduring (and enraging) mystery.

Between Lapo and MOS....we will have the film broken right down to pieces....

Of course our O will be better. Hell, a snowball mounted on a stick is an upgrade over Marcel. Perhaps the third time is the charm for Lapo. Giving him the clean slate on this one.... According to this young, innovative poster....
