Noticed this on saturday too. I caught Adams dogging it a couple times on passing plays yet. Saw this in the Calgary game, as well.....

Lions looked pretty dispirited in that one.....Harris is sulking or hurt, and some of the Lions D guys were inching their way towards the exits. If we can string together some competent football, we can finish ahead of these guys...

The important thing is that Westerman was blocked out of the play, early.....and kept his motor running....

We could actually catch the Lions......they have some holes.....and no QB

Given what we have seen, since Willy went down....we are going to gripe incessantly about one fumble?

Made one major mistake......got blindsided on first fumble, Adams bungled the ball into his one int. He did shake those off and gave us some passing, and more importantly some TOP (for our D)

Lets see how this goes against a real D.....

Bombers take 2 penalties on ensuing punt return ...then L.H. can't handle snap on punt - turnover ...setting up Riders only TD of the game... D. Adams takes a pass right off his chest like a juggler... ..resulting in an Rider INT... Nichols looses another fumble deep in Rider territory.. 2nd quarter became penalty fest..for both sides.... Bomber D overcame 5 turnovers in total for that half.. Riders really did nothing in that half.... ..but the Bombers did less than nothing... O had 4 turnovers, 4 sacks and 3 points, in opening half... ...but for all of that....Riders only up 7-3... Seemed like neither of these teams could beat....a bowl of eggs.. Nichols used poise (and experience) to shake off his 3 turnovers... ...to spread the ball around and also get it down the field... Moore broke the 100 yd mark...but then went down with a bad leg.. Short 2nd down play calls and execution...still major problem ...also failing to convert two 3rd and shorts..... ...with the slow tempo..clumsy looking run plays.. Running up the gut is not a C. Walker specialty... Blue D took over in 2nd half....with big pass rush... Westerman is the best DE in league, right now...... Hurl had his strongest game, yet Huge debut game at LB from Moe Leggett... Bombers 6 man DL rotation, simply tired out the Riders.OL.. ...as Best and Labette...got roughed up pretty good ...while Smith spent most of 2nd half.... running for his life ...as the Bombers sacked him 5 times... Rider blow a zone coverage....Nichols hits JFG.... ...wide open 35 yd pass and run TD... Defense continues to hold the fort...until.. ..Westerman hits Smith from behind...ball goes.... ..right into the hands of K. Bass.... ...who rumbles 60 yds for the killer TD - 21-7 Crowd noise caused a couple of rider penalties.... Embarrassing showing from the officiating team.... ..who looked like Winkin, Blinkin and Nod.... ..while trying to figure out penalties and yds.... ..double clutching the 1st down chains on a key gamble Bomber O was better in 2nd half....but the D won this game - period.. Had to have this game....and got it... Had to have this gin...and still getting it....

Settling into my seat...after making my way through a sea of garish green....looking for something to sink their tooth into.... Number of fans touching their forelock as Nichols came out for warmup....

Well If this kind of weak, boneheaded, slack, uninspired and inept play continues.....you have really not seen anything yet. It would make William Shatner look like a stoic....

Coaches come in all shapes, sizes, and temperments.......not that important.....the deal is getting the team play up to max potential, with strong work ethic, on a consistent basis. Not a Bomber specialty, for some time, now

One more offensive beef.....watching our RB come to full stop as he is getting the ball, as part of slowest developing run plays ever...

With this OL and this OC....any QB, we bring in.... is in imminent danger.....

This game is a tipping point, we have made some changes.....but struggling to make the playoffs - we simply cannot lose at home (again) and get swept by a 0-9 team going into the back-to-back. If that does happen.....things will get ugly....

Walters at least (unlike some who came before him)....understands the idea of building through the draft and the need for Canuck depth. Some good moves and players and brought in a legit QB (Willy)....and some not so good (i.e 200 large for Picard) and still can't find grade A imports at some other positions. On balance, he should get at least, another year. MOS? What really perplexes me.... is that I thought we would be importing a certain aggressive mindset, when he was hired (Mike the uberhardnosed player and tough competitor) and get an instant upgrade on special team performance. Instead this team has been terrible on ST, and more concerning, we have a team that seems mentally weak, lacks purpose and fails to respond to adversity..... Players seem to be looking around waiting for someone else to make a play.....or standing around waiting for something bad to happen. (and it almost always does) But doing a rewind, here.....last season the deal was to surround Mike with experienced coaches....not a bad plan....too bad they turned out to be Etch and Marcel!! We have now corrected 50% of that mistake, with Hall being a upgrade at DC. Tracy was in over his head....and that has been delt with. But we still are letting a perennial incompetent run our offense.....because some are afraid of causing some form of "instability" That is if you define stability.... as falling one one's face, every week. This could go either way....MOS has to put his hands around the reins...and pull hard. The hardnose has to come out of the woodwork. He will need to make some tough decisions, for his own good. The team needs to start reflecting the some of the qualities and traits, that we thought we were getting with Mike. Because, as much as I like MOS....he is almost right on the bubble.... and will be closely evaluated on what we do down the stretch... I am rooting for him, anyways
