  1. If after 3+ years....you are afraid to let Goltz throw a pass, in a situation like that....then there is no reason for him to be here. Bottom line.....need 1 point, with 25 seconds and a time out, to work with - any other team in this league.....is going to give it a shot.
  2. Watching our lack of adjustments, overall, the way we use Ford, and the overall kitty-bar-the-door approach..... Not sure I can handle 6 more games.....with this coaching staff.....
  3. You are 2-9 and need ONE lousy point to win....and time for at least 3 plays....and you take the knee, at home? To head into an overtime, where the other team has all the momentum, and your D is gassed? Just gutless. Enough excuses.....the losing mentality round these parts, simply starts with this head coach.....
  4. So from the start of the year.....Goltz goes from #4 to #2 (Brink, Elliott chopped), then to #1, (Buck hurt) then down to #3.....briefly a #2 behind Hall.....Back to #1....then a #2...finally this week, back to #3. Of course, this is with 7 games still to go...... Comedic. In retrospect...if it wasn't for my upcoming shoulder surgery........
  5. Prefer just about any lineup, that doesn't include Cauchy Muamba......this guy is simply the defensive equivalent.....of Brock Ralph.
  6. Even back in the pre-season, Burke looked and talked like a guy who was way over his head, as a HC. Frankly, at this stage......nothing has changed.
  7. Boatman is right on the top of the list......of guys who just have to leave, right off the top.....
  8. Hey, my arm is almost as strong as Hall's. That said, we have to go with Max Factor....at least he will make some reads and get the ball off. Goltz looks completely overwhelmed mentally, and is seriously regressing, at this point. All we see from Justin is bad decisions, bad throws, and bad ball protection. If all else (Hall) fails....we can start yet another "era".
  9. Ok, found one: Bob: Bombers bumble their way, right out of the gate. Mike: Horrible 1st Quarter, down 17 nothing. Leroy: With this O, the game is already over. Tad: Cauchy Muamba stinks. Bubba: Jovon should hang it up. Mike: Goltz has no pocket poise whatsoever. Joe: My arm is stronger, than Max Hall's. Bob: Boatman wouldn't make a good pool rack Tad: Nice O playbook, would take 2 mins to read Tom: That Do or Die fella, gonna have fun with this one Leroy: Does he really drink all that gin? Harry: Does he really have any choice?
  10. Great.... We are a western city. Period. Our great history and tradition lies in the West. So, how long will it take us to fire up the ole rivalries with BC, Edmonton, and Calgary? Try about 5 minutes. To say nothing of the utter craziness, we'll have going on with the Riders, as a actual division rival....... As far as this "tougher division" stuff.....we just have to wipe our noses, hitch up our pants and get on with it.
  11. Washington .... been boosting this guy, since early last year......great speed, instincts and a pretty good hitter to boot.... Markett .... Banjo Bowl was his big coming out party....as far as actually making plays Wild ...... every week, this kid just looks more and more..... like a serious football player...... Turner .... when healthy and in beast mode (like Sunday).....he sets the (relentless) tone, and creates opportunity for the entire D.. Dunn....coaches are solidly in his corner, during his learning curve.... H. Muamba - takes some flack, but with the right coaching, can/will be a ratio busting fixture.....very few MLBs have his range and quickness... Some young building blocks......all right.
  12. If he can even just elongate the phrase "look out" a bit..... he's an upgrade on our right side of the line.
  13. Before Douglas was hurt....he was average. Now that may make him look like the great hope, compared to what else is going on, with the OL.....but seriously, we need some competent import OL's, to bridge the gap, while the young Canucks develop - assuming they are developing, under this coaching staff.......
  14. Another winnable game.....another putrid 4th quarter effort.... 3 turnovers in a row, during crunch time - turned a close one, into a blow out..... This team just has no clue on how to, or the ability to make the plays necessary to win....these kinds of games.......
  15. Just a opinion, from an inexpert source..... This season started... with our pulling Buck - you know the vet, with the "tailored" game plan.... against the Argos...because they might (and of course would) blitz. We sent them and everyone else a message real early.... that we were soft... and could be taken off our game, almost at will, with no expectations, to being able to cope with it..... We are now at the half-pole... and sure enough, this team is soft, loses physical battles, commits mental mistakes, and cannot make adjustments or cope with anything the opposition throws at us. Burke's comments about Buck, are just another example, of the lack of expectations from our coach, and illustrates - the low standard to which our players are held, without any accountability...from both players and coaches..... As far as Quarterback....our "best chance to win" can't read defences, holds the ball too long, lacks pocket presence, and is a injury risk at virtually any moment. Nothing like holding ones breath, after even routine hits. Which is one of the things that may explain why our chances of winning, are not the best.... Common wisdom is to keep Burke, till the end of the year.....but with 8 games, left....one begins to wonder... if the potential damage in keeping him on.....is becoming greater, than any possible damage, in letting him go.....
  16. OK, perhaps too much emphasis on firings..... Ready for some cuttings, though.....time some people on the field, take their share of the responsibility for this debacle....
  17. Best scenario......Burke "giving up" Creehan, to ensure finishing this year, himself....
  18. Now half sober......having killed almost an entire bottle of gin.....before we made our first down, on O.... Yes, it is true......really pretty impossible to replace our HC/DC, this time of the year. Miller and Walters will need the time to make the (proper) decisions, moving forward, next year. My anger and dismay...got the better of me. Although, It was pretty impossible to fire CEO, GM and OC, within 10 days, right in the middle of a season.....but perhaps that is the limit of absurdity, allowed....for this go round..... Mind your, there are some problems....and worries... while "doing it the right way"...with half a season left: Team is completely dispirited, getting pushed around, performance is regressing badly....on a weekly basis.....painful to watch Burke is moping around on the sidelines and in a metaphoric way... waving the towel, on post game interviews....painful to watch The young keepers....are receiving absolutely no schooling in technique/fundamentals...painful to watch Looking at Buck struggle to his feet, even after a routine hit....painful to watch.... Watching the lack of physicality and poor performance of our OL...painful to watch... Vanilla heaped upon vanilla defensive schemes, where nobody comes close to making plays....painful to watch.... Trying to imagine how bad this team might look by say, Game 14.....ok, you get the picture. Or for that matter.....watching our fans trying to deal with this derailed train....for the entire 2nd half of the season. As far as my comments about the "air lift"....I take nothing back. Flat out we have a bunch of imports that could be replaced, or at the very least pushed hard in some manner... The pity is...I have grave doubts about the ability of this coaching staff to instil ANY of the needed discipline and focus, as we move forward.... It the meantime, have pulled myself together....ready to take stern measures.. will be petitioning the Bomber football club....to convert the entire upper East side walkway....into a Gin Hut.
  19. Too much towel throwing......
  20. Been a certain amount of sentiment, that we have had enough shake up this year.....and that Burke and Creehan should finish out the year..... What on earth for? So we can watch even more of this total ineptitude and incompetence? Watching Burke.....the players have completely tuned him out....and he stands on the sidelines, with the ole 5000 yd stare. Firing him now, would simply be a mercy killing. As far as Creehan......accomplished nothing in Steeltown...and is doing pretty well the same here. If the idea is to have the young guys who are considered keepers....improve consistency and fundamentals....it will not and should not be with this coaching staff. While we are at it.....at NFL cutdown....just back up a tandem trailer....and get some of these laggard import players, right out of here..... In today's game, Suber defended his first pass this year. Way too late. Boatman is a joke. J.J is on his last legs, our import receivers are completely uninspiring. Cauchy Mumaba made his first play of the year - on a fluke INT. Any QB worth a look....should be scrutinized, as well..... The team is completely dead in the water....pushed around physically.... the most pumped up and excited guy.....was the field kicker.....no joke. Terrible offensive playbook, static and vanilla D schemes, no ability to prepare a team for a game or make adjustments later, a head coach who looks like Huckleberry Hound on death row, and a bunch of veteran players who frankly, don't seem to have what it takes...... Glad I'm not Wade Miller.....
  21. No, no.... it was just better to ride the rickety BuckWagon, one more time.......with the 2 QB's behind him, boasting a total of 0 CFL starts..... Mack deserved to be fired for that particular setup, alone....
  22. Moaning and groaning, because the Als have two lousy wins? Did anyone really think that these other teams were simply going to lie on their bellies.....all year long, just for our benefit? Well past time for the Blue to do something themselves, instead of counting on team x, y, and z to just keep losing..... If we can't at least get back into this Eastern play-off "race", then this team is truly the laughing stock.....than others around the league believe it is.....
  23. Still mystified why everybody assumed that if we were in the ring, on Picard, it would of been a slam dunk. Guy already had blown town, once...
  24. Despite all the theories.....perhaps Labatte just really, really wanted to play in his hometown, for the right price.....
  25. Bo is a good athlete who can really bring the wood. But as a boundary HB, in man coverage ... was burned repeatedly in Hamilton (particularly by Edwards). Despite my trepidations, we do have some guys in the secondary, who need to be pushed. Thinking that Bo might be an interesting concept at S, if he still has enough speed......Cauchy is doing zippo. Wouldn't hurt to get some fear factor, back there.....
